Even if there is any emotion in Yngwie's style at all its one sided I think, very fast, aggressive "I am a virtuoso" -like. No feeling no subtleness, something which his great role model Ritchie Blackmore is a master of.
I won't presume to tell you why you tired of his music but for myself, I tire of it precisely because his playing style is so one sided, altough his talent is massive, that's undeniable.
That makes a lot of sense.
Have you ever heard his "Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar" album? Great stuff and much more melodic than most of his work.
No, that's one I haven't heard. I have the Odyssey album and a greatest hits compilation in my possesion, and I have otherwise heard most of his older stuff, Marching Out for example. I will take a listen if I come across it though, always interesting to hear classic orchestra/rock fusions.
