OT: The Storm boot on Guitars101

Postby Clasicrockldy » Sun Aug 13, 2006 1:01 am

Ok, one of my morning stops on the net is Guitars101 (which is right after I check MR!), and I found a boot of the Storm from 6-6-92. There isn't a setlist, and this boot is in Albumwrap form. I just wanted to let all of you know that this boot is now available ! :D

It didn't say Calbear. I don't even know what the setlist is either. All I know is that the boot is up there and it is one big file ! :D

Thanks for the heads up Clasic. Listening to Just The Same Way right now. :-)
Quality's not the best...but it works.

Wow

reasonable quality... possibly "soundboard"... quite "tinny" but a great keepsake nonetheless

Chalfant seems in great voice

You're welcome Dave. MR is the first place I go every morning. Guitars101 is the second place ! I have already downloaded The Storm Boot, Journey Departure tour 80 boot, and Journey Budokan boot.

I check the place out several times a day, since posters are always putting up new stuff.

Maybe I should call myself "The Bootlady"! :D

That's not a Soundboard...more like a Grade B-/C Audience. Cool boot though.

Abitaman,

There is a full Journey Budokan show from 1983. It has more songs than the Journey Japan I received from you. Maybe you should check that one out too.

Yea that sucks. Styx boots are probably one of the hardest to find on sites like this. There is ONE from the Pieces Of Eight tour in '78 on there though.

you havent got to sign up...I hav'nt, and I downloaded it first go!

keep trying

Quality is like someone said, a very good audience recording... hardly any audience chatter, they even do a couple of Greg Rolie lead Journey tracks too

I just love "Your Gonna Miss Me" from the first CD, really rocks, also like the way Chalfant alters one or two really "high" lines that he might not have got, but they still sound good...his banter to the crowd is really clear too

Shame there isnt any live stuff with any of their second CD on it, but I guess they had split up, when that was "posthumously" released, after their demise.. I actually prefer a few of the tracks off the second CD, esp "Change The World"..wow Kev really soars on that one.

The Storm really should have been massive, shame!
