Yeah yeah, fresno, CA 10/11/06. Great. Then I saw the ticket prices.

I'm not a nosebleed kinda guy, but if I was, $40 is too steep for nosebleed.

And $75 is just way too fucking high anyway.

Point of fact, I'm not gonna blow $150+ for me and my lady to go sit thru another greatest hits tour for EITHER of these bands. Especially when the Leps cut good shit in favor of playing fricking Rocket and Rock On.

Sorry guys...I can't do it this time. I got a car payment, and I just ain't moved to see the same show again. Ya shoulda come for the Gens tour.

I honestly wish people would stop going to shows for a year so all these promoters would be forced to lower their ticket prices to semi-normal levels.

But as long as there's a few thousand bored rich people in every city....

Ticket prices definately are way too high. I was not going to go to the show this year because the price was too high for such a short set...even with DL. If not for the grace of a very kind individual I would not be going tonight.

no way in todays world these are cheap tickets... THE WHO in Des Moines on 9/26 Iam paying 197.00 for two seats.. And we paid about 120.00 for great seats for the Journey show in Ames on Sept 7...

in todays world 40 bucks for cheap seats is CHEAP! heck back in 1980-1981-- we paid 10-15 bucks for cheap seats... and 25 years later you are only paying 30 bucks more...

Mine weren't either, since all of the reasonably priced GA floor tickets went to scalpers. :x I basically put aside a grand for the Vertigo tour and went to 9 shows, but U2 is the only band I'd really do that for. The $52 GA floor tickets were very reasonable though, if fans were actually able to get them at that price.

They should just make all shows GA admission...the fans who want it bad enough will get there first, and that prevents the rich corporate people from getting all the seats up front.

That tour rocked when I saw it. Great show. I just got a copy of the Vertigo live dvd. Not impressed with the DVD for some reason. I loved the one from the last tour though.

The DVD was filmed by Hamish Hamilton, the worst concert film director in the universe...he's also ruined perfectly good performances by The Corrs (Live In London), Peter Gabriel (Still Growing Up) and others.

I was at both shows that were filmed and the DVD doesn't capture the energy of the shows at all, I was pretty disappointed. (however, for brief moments you can see me, I'm on the rail just ouside the ellipse by Larry's drum on "Love And Peace") On the "documentary," Hamish talks about how he intentionally avoided shots of the audience. And you're like "have you ever BEEN to a U2 show?" It's all about the audience, and the interaction between the audience and the band...

Sorry, on a tangent, but yeah, that DVD sucks compared to how great the shows actually were. The fall 2005 shows that weren't filmed were even better, since they'd been on tour for several months by that point and were really hitting their stride...oh well.

There's no general admission seats anymore, as far as I've seen. Don't most states have laws against it now? Some fans were crushed to death at a Who concert and another one I can't remember. That's when they stopped general admission. I was almost trampled to death at a general admission Led Zeppelin concert back in the day. It was scary as hell and I was pretty bruised up, but as I look back on it...damn, it was worth it. 8)

I haven't been to a concert since the mid 80's. If I have to pay more than $20 for a ticket, I will stay home and watch Scooby Doo.

Sure, you did. Augeri isn't here to defend himself from the "big men" on here who feel like it makes them important by bashing him. Maybe you need someone to give it back to you?

NIG, if you or anyone else here takes this stuff seriously then you have more issues than defending "Mr. Awesome".

I couldn't care less about the guys personally - I love their music, that's it. I think what happened with that pansy and his lip synching is wrong, so that's why I give a crap. It's the principal of the matter.

If you try to get to me by bashing me you are wasting your time. This is just the internet - that's all.

Be happy!

Don't pull back now, big man. You talk big shit until someone stands up to you. You said a lot of shit about Augeri that you would NEVER say to his face. Not just you, a lot of cowards in here. You all know who you are. The shit is over now. The only reason to keep bashing the guy is for your own perverted pleasure. I hope you make a bad decision that people can roast you over the flames for months so you can see how you like it.

Fraudgeri is still a girly man who cheated his fans and now ignores their pleas and prayers to hear from him.

Again, not to the extent that you do.

This is the last thing I am saying on this. If you hate Augeri, fine. I just have a problem with people who keep kicking him over and over and over just for their own pleasure. It's obvious they don't care that much about it - it just makes them feel important by bashing someone with 10x more talent and success than they have.
