The Sad Truth

I have had an epiphany!

Combining both BT and MelodicRock Journey posters - I mean REGULAR posters, we have a total of what, 50 - 75 people?

Out of those 50-75, only a few, maybe 25, are hardcore enough to get into it about Tapegat, Augeri's mysterious disappearance, Soto's position with the band, etc... The rest just take the band's "Official Statement" about Augeri as 100% truth.

So, I am not deceiving myself any longer thinking that any of our posts are making a bit of difference one way or another. Heck, even if the whole band gets together every evening at 9 o'clock to catch up on both boards, we are such an incredibly small blip on the radar compared to the thousands (millions over the years) who currently buy albums or see concerts.

At an average concert of, say 15,000 people, there may be 1 to 5 people who even care (or KNOW) about these boards!

Let's face it - we are internet Journey Geeks! And aside from Deano (in my opinion), none of us really make any difference.

I am going outside to play some ball with my girls :D !

correct, really "no one cares", i think Andrew stated this in the beginning,, however i think your numbers are low,, there sure are a lot of names overall on the MR member list,,, off to band practice! i use "practice" loosely,,

You have to remember, there are what, 40 registered participants here on Journey Forum alone...add to that, the 100 or so on the Noticeboard...they all have friends who have friends and then there are lurkers too....couple that with QT'ers, and you can have thousands pretty easily.

Kind of like that old Amway sales pitch: If I gave you a penny on the 1st day of the month, and doubled it everyday for 30 days, you would have over a million bucks by months end.
