Add to that hotness some sweetness and you have Shania Twain.

But I can see JSS and Gwen together on a stage performing a duet. They are a good match. Both passionate and assertive.

It´s ok (allegedly) for so called fans of country music to threaten people´s lives, but not for celebrities to speak their minds? WTF??? More people will listen to what a celebrity has to say, than the average jo or joann, good or bad.
The bunch of hypocritical country hick "stars" that hate her and bad mouth her every chance they get, aren´t selling nearly the amounts of records that the Chicks are selling. Yes more money is made for an artist in concert, but really in the U.S. is where the biggest problems are. The Chicks are selling lots more tickets outside the states. (too bad for them)
I´d love to see Her and JSS together for a song. Even if it was just to piss people off. Sheryl Crow is a great talent, I dont discount her, she could make some sales too. Gwen? ehhh, maybe with Perry would be the best bet, if it were between Perry and JSS/Journey.

I don't frequent this forum too often as I can't relate to much of what is posted here. When I saw this I HAD to respond.
A year ago? Is that when you found my Dream JOURNEY Project and the same idea that I expressed three years ago?
If all it takes is a single idea to be the next Herbie Herbert then I guess I beat you to it by two years!

good points, no one is messing with springsteen and neil young or CSNY,, and they wrote entire albums bashing our current "line up", people mess with the chicks because they see them as an easy target,, female country artists,,
JourneyRox wrote:I have an idea. Why don't they remake one of their old hits like maybe DSB but w/JSS singing it and doing it a bit different? I like the Sheryl Crow idea if she would do it. Get her to do it w/him. I can't see JSS going for a duet w/Natalie or Gwen somehow. I think he might have some respect for Sheryl though.

Isn't your Dream Project about a Spanish album? I think Dean's always wanted Journey to perform with The Corrs or something. Sounds completely different to me.

My Dream JOURNEY Project is for a Latin rhythm album. Whether or not the Spanish language is used is unimportant.
Dean's suggestion for a duet with a hot chick was suggested three years ago for the Dream JOURNEY Project. Shakira was suggested to sing a duet with Steve Augeri. I've also written a song that I believe has the appropriate cheesey but classy lyrics.

There was some chatter about that which I found very exciting however it never blossomed for whatever reason. Personally, I think a JOURNEY/Neal/Steve/Shakira effort would be something truly exciting and special.
Neal's roots are in Latin rhythms and they actually explored small Latin sets in Florida back in September '03. I was hopeful that they would take up the idea of producing an entire album but it appears that that's not a frontier for them.
A supporter of the idea highlighted some compelling stats:

For those of us who are SUPPORTIVE of FYRE's ideas, further validation for why it makes sense for Journey to consider this idea of a Latin-flavored CD. I compiled these interesting figures from a variety of industry sources:
1. Hispanic-Americans now comprise 13.5% of the US population, numbering approximately 39 million in 2002 and projected to grow to 50 million by 2007.
2. The Hispanic sector is expected to grow at an astonishing 29.1% rate during the next five years, eclipsing African-American (7.9%) and Asian-American (23%) growth rates.
3. Hispanic-American buying power, currently totaling 580 billion dollars, is expected to reach almost one trillion dollars in five years, the result of an unstoppable 59.5% rate of growth.
4. 50 percent of adult urban Hispanic consumers are under 35, compared to 31 percent among the total urban market. This young demographic heavily influences viewing choices and consumption patterns and drives the enormous potential for new media in the urban Hispanic market.
5. 54 percent of urban Hispanic households have children under the age of 18.
6. Currently, the states with the greatest concentration of Hispanic buying power include California, Texas, Florida, New York, Illinois, New Jersey, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia and New Mexico.
7. Of more interest, the fastest growing states in Hispanic buying power are predominantly in the South and include North Carolina, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina, Nevada, Minnesota, Kentucky and Iowa.

Fuck off dweeb. Get your sorry ass outta here and go over and worship Fraudgeri. I had this idea about 5 years ago. Can't really implement it when the singer, um, cannot sing.
Yeah, I of all people, would ever thieve an idea from BT. You must be high or stupid or both.
