Steve Perry !!! even if for only 10 shows @ 10 stadiums.Of course ,we would also need a DVD of it. I don't think he would be interested in constant touring. I would go to see Soto again. If he does this I would think it would be his final live appearance. 2007..........

Deano,

I respectfully and non-sarcastically submit, what does he have to prove? He already HAS a catalogue of exquisite work. He is one of the best vocalists in American music history. He is a talented songwriter. How many have attained that kind of success, respect and fame? As he has said, he paid a big price for it and he didn't want that alone to sustain him. This is FACT.

Perhaps he has no desire to return to the Business of music?

He doesn't OWE anyone proof, an excuse, a CD or a performance. Especially the gossip mongers and nay-sayers!

I guess this poll assumes all the choices would be willing to do it so:

Steve P. if he can.

As for replacement singers:

I've listened to most of Hugo's and Kevin C's stuff. Either one would be a good fit if they want the Journey "legacy" sound. I'm curious why they didn't pick up Chalfant in 97?

JSS is good for a different sound which seems to be what the band wants now. It'll be interesting to see if they chart with JSS.

The band's creator, Herbie Herbert, is on record saying that Kevin would've turned out to be a problem child just like Perry.
He's been nice enough to answer 1 or 2 of my emails personally and for that I think Kevin is a super guy!
Though he makes him out to be somewhat of a prick, Herbie still strongly continues to exalt Chalfant's vocal abilities to this day.
