What a fucking reach. Backwater radio station and internet fringes do not equate to the circulation and pocket depths of tabloids.

Deano knew this woudn't bother to be answered to by the band.

2.5 = Gens, UK mini tour, and .5 represents just the earliest portion of the Leppard tour.

And like i said, if u want to get down to it, there was some shenanigans going on during Detour and even earlier, as well.
But again, that's water over the bridge.

"regular" people are on the radio everyday. Think about it. They call in, get asked in (as in this case). Because he or anyone that is deemed "regular" people get that, doesn't equate them with the press. Forgive me...but for me that is simply a weak argument.

The difference is that the Tabloids (like the ENQUIRER, THE GLOBE, et.al) usually print untruths. Blatant untruths.

Deano's blog was the truth.

The band knows it, and knows that they would get negative publicity from suing him. They have to make him happy, so they invite him to some gigs. The problem is gone. They aren't going to sue him. They fixed the problem, changed singers, and the world will go on.

Opie and Anthony mentioned it to Elliot when he was on their show.
Their audience is HUGE.
Mark and Brian out of LA even played clips off the blog.
Sorry, as much as you'd like to believe, these are not pirate radio stations emitted out of some guy's garage.

Not when a "regular" average joe starts making waves and stands to potentially impede on the band's touring revenue.

The only person looking desperate is you and fellow denialist sheep.
This is umpteenth contrived "spin" you have put on this scandal.
It makes no difference to me.
Journey is back to being a live band and I am happy.

OK, how's the band going to go after Ollie and Anferny or whoever the hell they are if all they do is mention the allegationss in passing? Unless they come out and ACCUSE the band too, there's no recourse.
None of the handful of reputable places that picked up were fool enough back up deano. They were messangers.

I am not putting spin on this. But in all honesty, the above statement is speculation. And the individual here would still fall into the category of "regular" people...not press.

That being said, on this particular point, let us agree to disagree here.

If you tabulate it all up it is.
As I said before, Augeri has been sporadically utilizing tapes even before the Gens tour.
You're spliting hairs.

Yea, they tend to split hairs in court, too. That's what would happen in the hypothetical court case you think would damn journey. It kinda seperate facts from fiction.

Here's a neat experiement:
Pick a band that doesn't lipsynch, start a blog accusing them and then go on various radio shows and says that they do.
See how long you get away with it before you're smacked alongside the head by a class action lawsuit.[/quote]

Very good point. I don't think one could continue on with a accusations that are patently false and not be hit with a defamation suit.

Dude, if u dont know "Opie and Anthony" or "Mark and Brian", than you really have no business commenting on radio matters.
Those shows are big and Dean's blog managed to get on both.
The story wasn't contained to just a blog nobody gave a tinker's damn about.

Again, no one was stupid enough to BACK the accusations, rendering them blameless and not liable.

Yep, this is what I thought. You guys KNEW it would not be addressed by the band and gotten away with as a result. If it were a tabloid that started it, f-ing A they'd be paying out the eyes right now.

I'm a huge fan of the band and love JSS being aboard. Doesn't mean I'm not gonna refute the bullshit spouted about Augeri and that lineup.

The same way you know that I am. Because the only "official" thing that has occured is one singer was changed with another mid-tour. Even that has not been made "permanent" as yet. Regardless, we both state what we believe based on our own points of view and how we interpret the information presented. One could assume from your statement here that you may have other knowledge which you choose not to share (for reasons of your own). By that token, I can only take the words you do use and state that for me...they represent speculation.

I agree. I assume that had things ended differently with Augeri (as they had with Perry) I would be much more eager to accept JSS and look forward to new music with him.

As did you....back in December. In Waukegan, Illinois.

Admittedly not a great show, as we both said in reviews here.

But you were definitely of a different opinion then as to Mr. Augeri's abilities.

I was at the Waukegan show too in December with Sadie and Dean, but I was in the 4th row, Neal side.

Here's one of the thread's that was posted. The other one had the pictures of Dean.

Actually Perry personally picked Augeri out of let's say a few singers or so to take over "his" spot in the band. He had the final say! But you all know that already.

WHOA... I for one have never heard that before. Is that documented somewhere?
