He might as well be.
His blog was discussed on several radio shows across the country.

"regular" people are on the radio everyday. Think about it. They call in, get asked in (as in this case). Because he or anyone that is deemed "regular" people get that, doesn't equate them with the press. Forgive me...but for me that is simply a weak argument.

Yep...Don't remember what station he was on in Iowa, but it was on in the middle of nowhere...I can't even pick it up here. I did a quick search to see if I could find it again, found this instead, from a blog on the Des Moines Register, kinda funny:

The Chicago Tribune reports that the Chicago White Sox have selected rock band Journey’s 1981 hit “Don’t Stop Believin’ ” as the team’s theme song for its World Series bid.

Do they care that the tune mentions Detroit, not Chi-town?

And the team reportedly also has invited former Journey frontman Steve Perry to Game 1. What about the rest of the band, who now tours with replacement singer Steve Augeri?

Most importantly, can anybody out there recommend a better theme song for the team?

Had the Cubs been World Series bound (sob, sob), perhaps they would have picked a Jimmy Buffett tune, considering he performed this year at Wrigley Field.

Journey?

I’m not saying I want John Fogerty’s “Centerfield,” something way too cliche in the world of sports.

But Journey?

It could be worse, I guess. Could be a Styx song.

Sure it does...or you wouldn't keep replying back.

The bottom line is you "believers" took a small bit of truth, and blown it up out of all proportion by adding a LOT of opinion and speculation and tagged it on to that small bit of truth. You can't PROVE *ANY* of it...but that doesn't stop you guys from DEMANDING it to be true.

Dude, if u dont know "Opie and Anthony" or "Mark and Brian", than you really have no business commenting on radio matters.
Those shows are big and Dean's blog managed to get on both.
The story wasn't contained to just a blog nobody gave a tinker's damn about.

LOL...it had five minutes of fame on a couple syndicated shows! BIG DEAL! It had NOWHERE NEAR the 'explosion' that Dean said would happen.

The same way you know that I am. Because the only "official" thing that has occured is one singer was changed with another mid-tour. Even that has not been made "permanent" as yet. Regardless, we both state what we believe based on our own points of view and how we interpret the information presented. One could assume from your statement here that you may have other knowledge which you choose not to share (for reasons of your own). By that token, I can only take the words you do use and state that for me...they represent speculation.

Resistence if futile, or useless...or whatever. I've been saying the EXACT same things from the beginning. What makes you think you can make them see things clerly?

Fine I took it down - LOL

Speaking purely on my own behalf, I thought the story would never see the light of day.
I think most (including the band members, themselves) thought the story would never get out.
You, and others, pressured Deano into spilling the beans.
He went public, Augeri got shit canned, and now you rue the day you ever opened your big trap.

Doesn't mean I'm not gonna refute the bullshit spouted about Augeri and that lineup.

Of course not. Because you're an Augerifag, impervious to reason or logic.
Just like the ideological Perryloons that came before you.

Thing is that some of those Perryloons are now Sotopsychos. Funny how it is come full circle. When you group those Perryloons together like that and attack them, you're also attacking some of Soto's supporters. Too funny!

you can't prove that it had ANY impact, or that the band even noticed. Again, all you have shown is MORE opinion on timing of this and timing of that means this other thing. All that is circumstantial.

I'm sure during this time some arab blew himself up in Iraq....I spose Journey had something to do with that too. It happened right at the same time...must be all Dean's fault. Gas prices are coming down again...thank God JSS is in Journey!

The only 'impact' I can see is on THIS forum and BT. It didn't "blow up" anywhere else.

No, you are demanding we believe a bunch of bullshit.

I don't think you have any beans to spill...no reason to believe you did, either.

Who says I have to prove something beyond a shadow of a doubt.

You simply exist in an alternate reality.
It's no different than those poor naive fools that choose to believe Perry did intend to tour for TBF.
Some of us choose to exist in reality, and others choose to exist in Dimension X.

I don't think you have any beans to spill...no reason to believe you did, either.

Don't care.

Yeah, but u have to admit the Japanese version of Arrival featured a really unsatisyfing track list.
If the Napster leak hadn't forced Neal to change it up, "Arrival" would probably be the mellowiest Journey album ever.
Yes, even more mellow and drab than TBF.

Def. a big improvement.
Moving "To Be Alive Again" up from the status of a hidden bonus track was a good move too
