I was an Augeri fan big time, but after seeing JSS w/Journey, I want him to stay. I can't believe I'm saying that!
The crowd was worshipping Journey tonight. DL was good, but it seemed like they rely a lot on a big stage presentation and LOUDNESS. Elliott didn't interact with the crowd or move aroudn much, and he is much too chunky to be wearing leather pants! They sounded good though. I just know Journey is a better band and should NOT be opening for Def Leppard (or anyone else for that matter).

LAST THING: Journey's got to stop letting Jon have 2 piano solos. The Leppard crowd does not do well with them. If they're trying to win DL fans, letting Jon have solos is not the way to do it.

Hey Jabber....Atlantic City and another PNC show in September. Both doable from Phil

If I am going to Atlantic City and Boston, then surely she can.

With all the shows in California, why are you coming East??

I'm glad u enjoyed the show. He really has awesome energy onstage. He connects w/the audience well & puts his heart in it too.

Deen sang Open Arms, Faithfully and Who's Cryin' Now. Jeff's jeans weren't torn, but still had the chain -- as did Neal by the way. He changed his shirt 3 times. When they came out for the encore, he was wearing the Journey Escape shirt -- inspired me to buy one too.
Jeff did amazingly well on the high notes. He hits the notes in DSB way better than Augeri. He still struggled a bit towards the end, but it wasn't as noticeable or as painful as when SA did it. He is a lot of fun to watch and all of us liked him. After the first couple of songs, I said to my daughter "wow! he doesn't suck!" By half way through the show, I was screaming I LIKE HIM HE's AWESOME! It was funny.
A Fire Inside wrote:The crowd also seems to mostly be there for Leppard, and although they do know the Journey hits, I noticed plenty of people sitting down during lesser-knowns like Dead Or Alive and Edge Of The Blade.

Yeah, I'd be interested in hearing personal reviews of the Sleeptrain show. We're not going. I'll go to another Journey concert when they start playing some serious new music.
