Dio is one of the best singers ever I'm actually going to see him live next week for the first time, it's going to be awsome!

Dio was my very first show ever in 1985. I'm very fortunate to have an audio copy of it. Seen him 7 times since and he NEVER disappoints!!!!!!

Where's are they playing, LF? A friend of mine saw Dio play in London earlier this year - and they played the entire "Holy Diver" album from start to finish - and he said old RJD sounded as good as ever.

Dio's on his Scandinavian tour at the moment, and I will be seeing him in good old Copenhagen tonight 8) I am very exited to hear the setlist. I hope he plays all the classics, especially Rainbow in the Dark, Sacred Heart and Holy Diver.

I have heard a very recent live album and judging by that, he still got the goods, fortunately :)

Steve Perry "She's Mine"

The link for this one is in the " request thread " no video though :?

You've got her under your spell
And she's believin' your lies
You'd like her at your hotel, oh
No, not as long as I'm alive

She's mine, all mine
Don't show your face here no more
She's mine, all mine
Don't hang around here no more, more, more, more

Thanks I most certainly will :) I will be posting a review. I think the prospects of seeing him are bright for you. I think he will let up only when he falls down dead 8) He seems a very committed and passionate man.

NP: "I Want You" - Faith Hill. .....What an awesome voice!
And great lyrics... 8)

“The eagle wants a canyon
And a place where he can rest his wings a while
The drifter wants a freight train
That will carry him another hundred miles
The lion's only lookin' for something he can sink his teeth into
Oh and I want you

The devil wants a fella
With a weakness he can wrap his arms around
The champion wants a challenger
Who just might have the strength to take him down
The river wants an ocean to run towards
And pour its heart into
Oh and I want you

Oh, every time that I'm around you
Oh, I'm on fire when we touch
Oh, when I hold you boy you know
I can't get close enough
Yes I want you

I could cry and say I need you
Tell you that I die when you're not here
I could lie and say I love you
Pour a little poison in your ear
But all I'm gonna give you is
Nothing but the bare and naked truth
Baby I want you
Baby I want you…”

Here I Am - Emmylou Harris (off her brilliant, melancholy 2003 album "Stumble Into Grace"...a great example of how an artist can produce their best work late in their career....I wish Steve Perry would hire the producer of this record...Malcolm Burn...or Rick Rubin - who got the best out of Cash and Diamond recently...or Nigel Godrich - who gave Paul McCartney a shot in the arm. These albums all show that great talents can still shine brightly no matter how old they are...or how much their voices have changed over the years.)

Dang! Had to look that one up because I hadn't heard of it before but it looks like that was a track on the "Highlander II" soundtrack.

That's right, Dave. It's got Lou Gramm on vocals and Vivian Campbell on guitar....

It sounds a bit like a Lou Gramm solo album but a little harder-edged. There's a phenomenal acoustic ballad titled "Russia". Gramm's vocals are excellent on that one (not that they aren't on the other tracks...).
