Andrew: Regarding Steve Perry Interview

Postby fred_journeyman » Fri Sep 01, 2006 9:35 am

Would it appear too pretentious if you put a link under your FEATURE INTERVIEW link on your home page for Steve Perry? Then you can add after it..."Coming Soon (hopefully)."

I'm serious. Maybe he'll see it and go, "Okay Andrew isn't going away until I give him an interview..."

Just a thought.

If nothing else, maybe he'd see it and call you to find out who greenlighted an interview with him. Then you could put it on your page:

Perry Interview!

*ring ring*
Andrew: Hello?
SP: Yeah, who's the mutha**** who told you I was gonna talk to you? I'm going to fire that bastard!
Andrew: Well, see, I....

Mac,

How about putting up something on the main page saying that you've been trying to interview Perry for 10 years but he's suck an arrogant prick that he doesn't have time to fuck with you? 22.5 Million web hits just don't mean anything to such a God, right? He might get off his ass then. Time to try a new tactic?

Cheers mate,

Aaron

What did you do Andrew? I'm not feeling too good about this whole thing. Something tells me there will be no interview and no further contact with the Perry camp. Sorry. There's others out there to interview. I think I'd start concentrating on other people. This is the interview you just never go to do.

Ya, like that will work. :? Besides it's not like it is Perry himself turning down Andrew personally. Dont' give up Andrew, not in a million years did I think I'd ever meet the man, but shit happens! You would be pleasantly surprised, he is in no way even close to being an arrogant prick......not to his fans. :)

I don't know, but wouldn't it be worth a shot? Seriously! You could change the "coming soon" to something else every once in a while; something that could be easily understood as a nice way to get his attention. You could go to "any minute now" to "I'm hopin' and a prayin'" or whatever.

I'm dead serious with this, Andrew. Ya never know what could happen.

I'm glad you've got a number of connections. You know, sometimes, publicists are known for NOT even forwarding requests for interviews, etc., onto the intended interviewee. I've lost count of how many times I've read situations where a celeb was wanted for a particular role in a movie and their "front person" turned it down (usually manager or agent). Later, the person seeking the celeb in the first place runs into them somewhere, mentions the role/movie only to hear "I never knew that!"

Publicists, agents and managers are notorious for making decisions for the people they represent, sometimes without even bringing it to that person's attention first.

Keep us posted.

I'm having a hard time with this; it seems people really think he does not know that Andrew has been trying to solicit an interview for several years. How niave can you be? Even if his publicist doesn't tell him or his attorney or the guy in the front office or any of his friends or 10 of his closet relatives; he knows. Is this some sort of denial dance where you act like you don't know so you can act surprised later?

Hell, even Lora from F.A. could possibly get Steve the word (if she wanted to) that there's ONE interview he absolutely MUST do for the fans sake, if not the Wombat's. We all know she posts here and reads here more often than she posts.

I agree with you Marabelle, people are in denial that he doesn't know ANYTHING about this place.
