Dude, you gotta elaborate on the Cain story.

Maybe you were behind on your royalty payments to his publishing co at the time?

Dickey Lee...he was some country artist in the 70's that had a song called "9,999,999 Tears To Go". He played some little legion or VFW hall or something down in Iowa and my parents took all three of us kids and another couple. It was tramatic.

The best part of the whole night was hamburgers after the show.

No big deal, unbeknownst to me, my wife had brought a cassette tape of a cover band I was in where we performed Separate Ways. We were making our way down the table shaking hands, etc with the band. I was talking to Neal and behind me my wife is shaking Cain's hand, and brought this tape out and said something like "my husband plays in a band, and here's them performing one of your songs," or something innocuous like that. Suddenly Cain picks up the tape between his index finger and thumb like it's a dirty diaper, and gives her this scrunched up face look of disgust, and says, "uhmmm....we don't...listen to any tapes, uh...." and drops it down on the table in front of her. Meanwhile I'm looking over my shoulder at this thinking "holy crap, what just happened..." Whether it was appropriate or not isn't any big deal, it was just some girl and a tape, but Cain acted like she had thrown AIDS all over his face. Ruined her perception of him forever and ever after that.

I guess when you are the King, living in the ivory tower, the needs of the people are quickly forgotten.

All he had to do was, "yeah, I'll listen to it.. thanks!" Even if he DIDN't listen to it later.

I guess us "humans" will never be as cool as he was on the SEPARATE WAYS video!!

AC/DC, 1983, they were touring for the FLICK OF THE SWITCH, here in San Antonio, TX.

FASTWAY opened up ("Say What You Will"), promoting their first album.

The freaks were out in tow... first place I ever saw women dressed "trashy" with lingerie and stockings. Saw people smoking reefers! Heard some great music on the loudspeakers before the show. Remember hearing "Wheels of Steel" by SAXON, and "You Can't Kill Rock n' Roll" by OZZY/RANDY.. both for the first time.

The show was freakin' LOUD! The cannons for FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK were LOUD!!! Angus came down one of the aisles on Brian Johnson's shoulders, and people ran torwards them in droves.

It was great!!!

Maybe it was a bad day we all get them  Image

I'd completely forgot about those cannons till you posted that...incredible! And of course the mandatory Angus strip tease act, lol, he's a fun guy.

I saw them for the Back in Black tour as well, and Brian banging that bell with the sledgehammer was awesome!

My first concert was Queen on 11/23/77. This was the first of my over 500 concerts.

Firs show 1986, AC/DC "Fly on the wall Tour" with Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force opening. Was that JSS I saw so many years ago? Great concert anyway.

Followed closely by a New Year's Eve show at the Cow Palace in SF, featuring-Night Ranger, Eddie Money, Gregg Rollie w/ special guest Neal Schon.

Great concerts both :D

Wow...I would have LOVED to have seen Schenker in the late 70s...that show must have been incredible if the live album is anything to go by.

Yea, pretty much same as the album.. Amazing show. Shenker was untouchable back then. In those days, their was no seats on the floor..You pretty much rushed the stage when the doors opened..
