We all appreciate that you come on the board every now and then and discuss stuff with us. Some of have been fans of yours for years now... from Yngwie, to ROCKSTAR, to your awesome solo albums, to now.

Does the band read the stuff that gets discussed here on the MR board? And why aren't they more active in that way? I think their fans would really appreciate it.

Hey...thanks for the kind words! And for the record, I'm always okay if someone doesn't agree with me. I've always tried to respect other opinions, even when I don't share them. My sincerest thanks to JSS for taking the time to answer my question. It was great to see someone else posted that JSS does cite Steve Perry as someone who has influenced him. That fact alone, makes him more than okay to me! By the way, this is a pretty good website, from what I can tell, thusfar. It's actually a bit refreshing to read real opinions, for a change. That's generally not allowed over at BT.

Not being a singer, how can you get that high? Do you have to shout out all the power in your voice or is there a secret trick that can do it? I heard about head voice, throat voice and all that stuff but I'm not keen with that. Just being curious.

Funny...I was wondering the same thing! I'm not sure who this Joe guy is, but, apparently he's ticked someone off around these parts. I guess every "new" person who signs up on these boards is going to be suspected of being this guy.

For the record, I'm been a die-hard Journey fan since 1978, so I'm not so new

Also, in the interest of full disclosure, I am a staunch Steve Perry supporter. I've never disliked Augeri at all. I actually think the man has some talent (although you'd never get that impressing from most of the postings I've read on MR). I just never thought Journey could ever be Journey without Perry at the helm, and that hasn't changed, but I still listen to their music, as much as I can! Here's hoping somehow, someway, Perry shares his voice with the world again!

Dickhead Of The Year 2005 is none other than Joe Reardon.
Now Joe should be familiar to anyone that has ever posted on a Journey forum or news group. He is everywhere. Or should I say was everywhere. This venomous toad has been banned from every single forum online and even has had the dubious honor of being responsible for a couple of forums being closed down.
This hate filled snake has fired off shots at just about everyone on every board. I can't understand how one person can become so filled with rage for others, but karma is a bitch and one day this ass-clown will get what he deserves.
He was a member of the forums here until finally being banned, at which point he began to unload his special brand of hatred upon me. Below are some of the e-mails I received before blocking his IP address from the whole site and creating a mail filter to block his abuse.
I must state that these individually numbers e-mails listed below are not for the fainthearted, but are so seriously bizarre that they are funny, not abusive. I still get a laugh from these and think the sooner this guy gets clinical help, the better for all. His family must be truly proud of him.

Well, I haven't bought a new CD other than Queensryche's Operation Mindcrime II since I don't know when. But I did like the sound of VTR and Illumine interested me as well. They are on a list of CDs to buy. (Yes, I am a "collector"......*hangs head in shame*)
