Thank you, I loved em in the eighties.
Yup another band that was played alot
rollar skating.

Yeah, I always wanted their first album, but for some reason, I never got it. I think the guitarist, Fast Eddie Clarke, used to be in MOTORHEAD. I really liked that song SAY WHAT YOU WILL, it has a great, classic riff. And the singer sounds like Robert Plant on steroids! I don't even know if he is still singing now, or what his name was. Man, if JOURNEY can wear down singers, then with the way that guy sang, he probably wore his voice out after two tours!!!!!

Wrong... they are British..... well English...... we are not remotely European...... no matter what the Politically correct will say... we will keep our Pints, gallons, and Miles thank you..... but other that that I will agree... Genesis/Phil Collins etc etc are just boring old farts!!

Peter Gabriel solo stuff excepted from the above comment though... that guys last handful of albums are innovative, edgey, and can be as "heavy as fuck"

As for the "gay Euros" thing.. I sincerely hope that if you ever go there, those very same "Gay Euros" split yr asshole from tea time to breakfast time!!! haha

I'm English and previously spent 18 years living on the European mainland and have to agree with Macca. We Brits with our island mentality have much more in common with Americans than we do with our fellow Europeans. Where you Americans lead, we follow - be it knife culture, teenage pregnancies or obesity - we're right on your heels!! And, of course, our Prime Minister is your President's very own pet poodle.

And to get back on topic - UFO at Newcastle City Hall 1980. I was 24 before I saw my first proper rock concert and have been making up for lost time ever since (50 now). I tend to average 1 gig per month or so.

concert

I first saw Elvis in concert when he was overweight and squeezing into the white jumpsuit. Then I saw a few years later when I was really getting intersted in music - SuperTramp, those guys had a fantastic show with all kinds of things going on. The tix. back then were nothing like now, who would have thought we'd be paying in the hundreds of dollars to see shows now for two people to attend a 3 hour show? Its gotten crazy $$$$$ I have to stop myself and ask is this really worth it, especially if I have seen them already on this tour....

Hey JoyBringer, I didn't know you were British! I lived in Sussex for a while in a little stone cottage, very cold.

Not remotely European????How come they play in the European cup in soccer, for national teams and club teams???Maybe they should play in the north american league.Ha ,how many people you think would show up at a game with Rochester - Man U.
The European common market also comes to mind.I believe England is in.Maybe I am wrong.

I once paid $300 bucks for two tickets to see
Sir Paul for my ex's birthday present.
Well worth it but wish seats were a bit closer.
It has gotten quite crazy in the line of ticket
prices in recent years.
