Awesome live recording, James Labrie is a superb singer - the guy can sing anything.

After the recording of the original Frameshift album Producer/Writer Henning Pauly stated that he never once had to adjust or tune any of Labrie's vocals. This statement came after there was a huge war of words between Pauly and Sebastian Bach after the latter laid down the vocals for the second Frameshift album only to find on release that his vocals had been autotuned, much to his annoyance! Pauly had no problem with telling his forum visitors and indeed the press that Bach was frequently off key, saying that he sang with feeling rather than technique. Sebastian then posted the unaltered original tracks on his own website so that people could judge...

Frankly, I love the Labrie and Bach projects but Seb had a point when he said his vocals really didn't need altering. There was much more feeling in the original recordings than in the final release versions which had a tendancy to sound over processed. Henning Pauly does love his technology thats for sure!

I love this medley, had it for years off a CD, maybe a fan club CD? from the late 90´s. Dream Theater were great in concert, the one time I saw them all together with Derek Sherinian on keys. Saw Sherinian and John Petrucci together for a seminar and they were great. Great Chemistry. Too bad they have gone through so many keyboard players. Good ones none the less.
