Dont get all choked up i said may be some merit, i dont believe in ass kissing(but if i say something you wont ever have to wonder if i'm blowin smoke up your ass), something tells me you might appreciate that more in the long run. I think you may be be confusing realism with negatism by your comment-- i'm still waiting to hear a great boot if you have one that you think is better than the ones that have been posted here i would be happy to listen with an objective point of view

Classic chat-room needling tactic too, not to mention a misnomer.

Na. Ask anyone here who knows me if I ever ripped the "you can't ignore me/you read my posts Nanananana" card out.

I could give a rip if anyone reads me or not.

My goodness Steveforever you are very emotional arent you, what i said wasnt a stab in the eye it was just a logical statement if you didnt care you wouldnt have called me an asshole you responded to my post-therefore you cared. Jeff did the same thing--i havent said anything bad about his character --responded to something he probably didnt realize.as far as "celebrity" goes i dont believe in celebrities so to speak(the whole celebrity thing puts a wedge between them and so called common folk its crap we are all people everyone is equal in my eyes) hes a man and he can stand up for himself its just healthy banter going back and forth no name calling or anything like that he stated hes uses sarcasm and i do the same. Dont worry hes not going to leave because one person on the board might question something he said. oh and no worries about the asshole remark your entitled to your opinion but i should be as well

I think JSS sounded like he's growing into the whole Journey sound a bit more. That said, I do agree with yulog on one point...It's VERY tough to honestly assess Jeff or anyone else through a crappy internet bootleg. As big of a Steve Perry fan as I am, I've seen some internet boots of the guy in his prime that make it look like he couldn't sing to save his life!

That rendition of Lights WAS awful. I'm sure that JSS hates having those boots see the light of day.
I just don't feel that he and the journeymen are a good match. He may be enjoying the Journey exposure at the moment but he has to be missing the chemistry of his other bandmates.

Gotcha John i know alot of the people like what Jeff has to offer and thats fine i dont think bad of them for that not at all i just am not seeing the same picture in my head that they do i cant say that it wont change thats why i keep asking for more examples of the live Journey stuff like i said ill be objective with what i hear as far as talking with Jeff here i look at him as an equal no less no more, there are some things he has said that i find strange and others that i completly agree and understand--just like anyone else on the board and im sure people find the same with my posts Like i said to JSS, i dont kiss ass im not going to rollover and start saying how great i think he is just because he responds to my post a certain way i just cant do it -its not me. (i've seen quite a bit of 180 degree turnarounds here there quite comical especially from some of the more outspoken posters)

What if we all would say we don't want you to go? :D

Ofcourse it's worth it... Journey's a world class band, Jeff's a world class singer & entertainer, it might be a once in a lifetime opportunity to see them together as no one knows when Steve A. will return!
Check out the songs on Jeff's media-site or his life videos on youtube instead of forming yourself an opinion based on a couple of boots which are probably illegally recorded from someone's butt-hole.

been to a live show with jeff when the vocals were rocky, in these latest boots Jeff sound more like a Luther Vandross or some other soul brother singing out these tunes. Much smoother and powerful, but coming from a different place completely. Smokes Augeri, but just a differnt sound.
