Question for JSS

Postby Carlitto H@kk » Thu Sep 07, 2006 2:55 am

Dude, Big Congrats on this tour! You are winning new fans over every-stinking-night! I was gonna PM this question but I thought others that are 'sharing this wonderful ride' would love to hear your thoughts.
I know you've played a lot of big crowds overseas over the years but I was just wondering, aside from your early Yngwie days, are these the biggest American audiences you have been able to play to and if so, how exciting has it been for you??? I think the only downer would be that you're not doing your own material but, still, its got to be an incredible rush. Any comments???

Giving this a BT-style BUMP so it doesn't get too far down before JSS has a chance to read the boards today :)

Actually what I'd like to know is if there's any possibility of Jeff doing his own tour in the States following the Journey tour...I really can't afford $90 to see Jeff and Journey play for 70 minutes in Buttfuck, Illinois (sorry guys, I'm holding out for your own tour if I'm gonna have to pay that much plus drive 3 hours from Chicago to whatever weird town that show is at).

But I'd kill to see one of JSS' own shows...I just got Lost In the Translation a few months ago and I absolutely love it, and if Jeff was doing his own gig anywhere in the Midwest I'd be there in an instant. This Journey thing isn't going to make him a superstar, unfortunately, but I'm wondering if it might be enough for him to mount some tourdates with his band in the U.S. Sooo...any chance?

Hey Jeff, you know me the lover of the Queen covers! But also love the Lost In Translation.

Any Journey songs you would like to sink your teeth into? or should I say wrap your vocals around? :D

I totally agree there. I'd be nice if he could get a bigger tour in the states for his own band...
Sadly, with my luck, they'd never make it into Utah :(

That's what I was thinking. The Red Rocks show was my first trip to CO and my first time seeing Journey with JSS.

This must be the picture that was brought up over at BT and, after some 'speculating' on what a pic like this could mean, the thread was quickly closed AND deleted...
I even posted a positive comment that it is probably being shown so folks aren't surprised/letdown when they see the band live; they will know that Augeri and Perry are not touring with the band right now. But again, the question of what this picture may mean to the future of Mr. Augeri's employment quickly brought out the defensive ones and POW! thread gone...

Awesome pic!

I had heard that one of the bands was out taking pictures and I recognize what Jon was wearing (those ugly white shoes) and what JSS was wearing at the MNG.

Well then, I guess that answers my question.

Nevermind Jeff.

I have noticed that, in every promo shot I have seen with Neal and JSS together, JSS has to sit or lean or squat or spread his legs so that he is closer to the same heigth as Neal. If you see some band pix at the end of a show you can see that JSS looks close to a foot taller than Neal!

Hey Jeff, is this Neal's idea because he doesn't want to look so short, or the photographer's idea for the shot? ;)

Neal could always borrow some of Prince's shoes or maybe some of Paul Stanley's old stage boots

Just kidding. I'm sure it's a photogragher thing. So what if Jeff's taller. Neal can kick Jeff's ass on the guitar :)
So it evens out.

I thought Perry was the one with the Napoleon complex.
What a bunch of world class shmucks.
