The band knows they fucked up...It isn't punishable by law, so therefore the blame goes to the weakest link...the direct cause of the scandal...the lead mimer, Steve Augeri. He solely could have stopped this.

yeah AFI go blow Augeri while Deano gets gangbanged by the rest of the band! Fact is all of Journey's fans who care got bent over after we picked up the dinner tab. (I don't hear any current Journey members scrambling to give the money back) Anyone who thinks Cain or Schon couldn't have "solely stopped this" is ignorant. Except you Deano, you're probably too busy "going to war" for Journey that you've forgotten that they also gave it to you with no lube.
