Well, the media is all over her Drunk Driving arrest from last night here in LA. a 500,000 DOLLAR Mercedes, and she cannot afford a driver? You have got to be kidding? Is she this stupid?

I see this like self-sabotage,seriously.
Seeing the tour statistics that Matt posted,I wonder why don't they take this chance to finally bring out the new songs.JSS could sing them just fine, especially the rockers.

Yeah, but that's not enough...They should play those every night.A balanced setlist between the old and the new would be interesting. And useful.

So JOURNEY has moved on but the fans haven't.
If it were me I'd have said, "Go get your beer but we're moving forward!"
JOURNEY wanted to move forward but instead they're pandering to an audience - an audience that just doesn't want to see them move forward.
Self-sabotage is a good way to put it.

The band needs to decide if they are going to continue playing the nostalgia tour, or if they are going to begin playing the new material and stick with it. If they do NOT, not only will they NOT move ahead, but I can see them falling backwards.

Journey got lazy. They went for the most money with the least work...

I have been saying the same thing for years!!
Journey should have pushed...the fans would have followed. And if they didn't they could have been replaced with those that respect what Journey were doing...

His exact words were, "Dude, we can't play that kind of stuff on this tour. We play stuff like that and people start heading to the beer stands."
So yes, they are trying to tailor the setlists to what they know/think the majority of the crowds on this tour want to hear. I hope in the future, if they tour on their own with whoever singing, that they get back to playing some older fan-faves and add in some stuff from Arrival and Generations.

What myself and others are saying here is that the "beer stand" excuse is just that: an excuse. It's an excuse to justify their throwing in the towel and perpetually playing the greatest hits year after year. Not much "tailoring" involved there! However Perry's coat tails are sorely due for some tailoring after all the years of JOURNEY riding on them.
If JOURNEY truly BELIEVES in TBF, Arrival, Red 13, and Generations then they ouhgt to stand up and play them! They haven't and it looks like they never will. If they don't believe then they ought to stop writing songs about doing so.

Dude, Friga is playing solos to give the singer a fucking breather..It happens to work you know.I wonder if they are letting Jon play two solos to keep him just a bit happier...? Remember he was reported to be looking angry and bored when Augeri left, but he has perked up by now...

Exactly FYRE....besides saying that 'can't' play a song like Patiently on this tour, but they waste everyones time and money letting dipshit Friga play two, count them two, piano solos on 'this tour'. You know if Friga is damn interested in displaying his piano talent, why doesn't he go solo and put together a tour with John fucking Tesh...

How?
Valory hittin the pipe for a few bong rips and playing a bass solo? Haha....
Soto masturbating on top of the Fat Talk women in the first row?
Schonny wiping off his sunglasses?
Deen taking a piss break?

Personally, I was thinking another Schon solo since Journey wants to be more rock now. But a bass solo isn't a bad idea, Def Leppard has a bass solo and they're bigger "rockers" than Journey... ESPECIALLY since Cain gets TWO solos, he could cut one for a drum, bass, or guitar showcase...

I still say squeeze the time together and play "Into Your Arms" or "Nickel & Dime" or something. Something relatively short but DEFFINATLY sweet.

Actually, that's a much better idea! I would love to hear any of those instrumentals instead of a solo.
