Okay i have a question for you Journeygal(i know you didnt have time for me last time but maybe you will answer in support of Hugo) when he does his shows in New York does he do any of his own material?(valentine,open skyz or the 3 solo albums)also does he sell dvds at his show?

No, he doesn't do any of his own material. Just Journey & Oh Sherrie. No dvds for sale - I wasn't even aware that he had a dvd available. They just started selling Evolution t-shirts at shows. Sorry if you asked me this before & I didn't answer. I didn't see your post.

Hello all,

I was looking for a place to talk shop about recording Journey when I came across this thread. What a great place to chat up recording the band here in a thread about one of the shows i've recorded this tour.

Thanks for all the comments on the boot itself. I was running it to a MD for the reason that I was going to trade it out to the masses. The mic recording of the show was one of the last priorities for that night. I was not in the best of spots to record with mics from. I was side stage (John's side) about at soundboard level but about 100 feet from the sweet spot. (Can you believe I gave up my front row ticket to a friend for this crappy taping seat! Then again recording with mics from the front row would of been worse!) I hope there were others with some better gear at the show(s). Mt. View and Concord should also be covered but nothing has been released yet as far as I know.

Some of the other shows we had covered were Denver, Vegas and Reno. No plans on releasing audio from these other shows yet. Reno would be the next show on the list to get mastered if I get time to work it over.

In the future I may post some clips of the other shows here for all to listen to. I'm would be willing to trade out some of the other recording I have for some high end recordings from this tour.

I also may end up recording the other Ca. dates coming up but that is going to be a long shot.
