Styx just swallowed a HUGE load.

I can see them collectively wiping off their mouths and cheeks.

Hey i've known about the Styx since I was a kid, but! never really heard their music until Madameblue sent me their music, not bad group at all. Great lead singer, good voice.

Who is bigger in the states. Styx or Journey - I would think about the same, but Styx maybe bigger world wide.

Submit yourself to drug testing tomorrow morning.

Journey has sold 41 million in the US to Twigs 17 mill.

Worldwide? Hell, Take Styxs' world sales and they still can't beat Journey's California sales!

I found it funny that Styx was actually touring OUTSIDE the U.S. a couple years ago for the first time since Paradise Theater. From what I (personal opinion) could see....they're sales sucked overseas. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, we can't exactly say Journey as been very "Worldly" either. Hell, they played Canada three times in 5 years....Toronto only.

That's true. As far as sales go though, I KNOW Journey was REALLY kickin' ass in Japan in the early 80's. Styx???

Keep in mind...I'm a HUGE Classic Styx fan....just thinkin' logically. :-)

Oh I forgot that Japan stuff. I heard through sources that the band isn't returning to Japan in the Winter. The temperature was too Nippy.

Hell...I just hope they come back to Texas since they're adding more dates. Preferably College Station. We've got the Texas World Speedway that the Stones played in '97 or '98. I think journey and Lep could manage that. lol

Dude, if you don't get Journey, you might get Dean/Lula. We are thinking of doing the Texas Motor Speedway 11/05/06, for the Dickies 500 Cup Race.

I am hooked on that shit. And yes, Lula LOVES it now. Just ask her.

Well damn, man, Lemme know. If it's sometime like the 5th-8th I'll be in Pennsylvania and the next Sat. I'll be in Houston at a concert. (Heart, Kansas, Eddie Money, John Waite etc..) Any other time, though...I'm good. Keep me posted. :-)

I still have a few more to send you :)

I don't care for the current line-up of Styx, IMO

Styx and Journey are about the same in popularity here in the States!! Just kidding, I think Journey is a little more popular after 1999. IMO

I don't see anything remotely funny about the new Styx lineup touring overseas....Toto have done it for years and built a loyal and large fanbase....New Styx or carrot as most of you classic Styx lot call them, seem to think it's worth a trip back next year, although sadly it's with that washed out group DP. Sales were always going to be low on that last tour, hardly any fucker had heard of them over here, other than the normal...Didn't they sing Babe, and that really pisses me off. Word of mouth spreads fast as they really rocked over here last year....the same can be said of Journey, they're following Styx in the battle of Europe, who wins?....My guess now will be Journey as they reach the heavy rock element and the UK and Europe love heavy rock and now that JSS is fronting...he and NS also have a following through SS over here, so it can't fail....I'm guessing for the next Journey tour in Europe, they'll have to lay on more dates...seriously
All said........things are looking up for both bands and a big round of applause from one happy Bristish fan to two groups making a splash over here at long last. Tommy by the way is still the coolest fucker alive, JSS is close behind though  DDY couldn't get cool, even if he sat in the freezer for a week, great musician but cool...fuck never!
