Listen to "Someone's Taken Our History"...
I total slap towards Little River Band...but, in the Perry context, some will love it. Too funny.

I loved the album track...The Net, as I only have it on vinyl, I must try to get it on CD. They're a good band to open for V, nice to see they're still going strong... it only seems like yesterday I was humming that track in my bedroom while it played on my fidelity player, scratches and all! Twenty odd years ago, I'm getting old fast

See the LRB sign above us? (I'm on the drums.)

There's six year history behind.
The Little River Band that exists and tours today contains none of the original voices that sang on the original hits. When the original voice, and founders, decided to get back together about six years ago they found that they could no longer use the name "Little River Band"...cuz none of them owned the name. So, they decided to go by "Birttles, Shorrock and Goble"...in the same way as Crosby, Stills, and Nash. That was shortened by fans into BSG (similar to LRB)...and that has stuck.
That would have been the end of it...but the copyright owner (Stephen Housden, current guitarist for LRB) has constantly taken BSG to court for making references to "LRB" in their promotions. He doesn't even want them saying "The original voices of Little River Band". They even have a live DVD/CD which has a pic of a marquee that says, "Birtles, Goble and Shorrock...The original voices of *** ****** ***** ****"...because Housden through a fit over it!
So, this song is expressing a LOT of frustration about the situation. Imagine if Perry went on tour and Neal took him to court to stop him from saying he was a lead singer of Journey? Or, even worse...if Neal quit Journey...then Ross quit....Then a few years later, Neal, Gregg, and Perry got back together but Jonthan started taking them to court...because "Journey" was still touring without them...and he didn't want to have his income affected by NGP using the Journey name in their promotions.
So, that is how this "stealing our history" comes from...LRB is living off a history they didn't create...and the creators of that history can't refer to it! The "they don't say a word" bit is because if BSG ever toured the US and the full story was told, I doubt LRB would be able to tour...that is basicaly what has happened in Australia...LRB were the first Australian based rock band to be a success in BOTH Australia and the US, yes, even before AC/DC. Todays LRB is basicaly an American band now.
