Ok,need to clear some things up again.
Fred,on the front cover of my book, right under the title,it says "The Unauthorized Biography".I am sure you didn't see that, maybe because the picture of the cover is too small. So this issue is covered. Also, inside the book,on the copyright page,I mentioned the fact that this book is not approved or endorsed by SP.Clear as daylight.
Dean,it's ok,you don't need a book about Steve Perry.
Now,a few answers for you...
6 months ago I have asked you and several people on this board to write down a concert memory from the Perry era.
I was looking for fans who attended live concerts,as I consider them "eye-witnesses" of the Journey/Perry phenomenon.I wanted to capture those fan's experiences and feelings in a special chapter.
You,Dean, were one of the people who saw several Journey/SP shows in the 80s,so that's why I asked you.
(Shadowsong,is this answering your question?Hope so.)
Only you and Shadowsong turned down my request, and 3 more persons who never saw Journey with Perry(although I had the impression they did).
As for your feelings about Journey/Perry,it's fine,Dean, they're your feelings.
I for one can separate Perry from Journey talent wise. Perry was born with talent and he would have been a singer anyway, with or without Journey.
On the other hand Journey was a band before Perry and it would have been a band even without Perry. You know what I mean?
However these are just suppositions,as are yours, because we will never know how exactly would have things evolved if Perry and Journey would have never gotten together.
Yes,I can separate all five members in the context of greatness,as you say.
I am sure each of them would make a good subject for a bio book.
I wrote about about the lead singer,as I was/am fascinated by his voice and talent. That's all.
I think the planets were aligned that day...

I had the info,had the will,had the courage,the passion,I knew English well enough and I was a writer.So there.
LOL,thanks, but I won't sell millions.Actually,I would be happy if I will cover my expenses and have the profits invested in a good cause.
My royalties for this book are neglijable. When the price was set for this book,I wanted to keep it as low as possible so everyone could afford it.
The production & printing costs are pretty high, not to mention the shipping,so I went for the minimum royalty.
I don't give a shit about the money,trust me.
