Your turn,S! The Styxman Comic Book! 8)

Hell yes! They offered me the option and it wasn't a graphic on the MR forum. I paid good money just for a graphic image :x
The Styxman comic book....I'd prefer "Styxman does 100 cheerleaders in a night and finishes off with a duck", that would sell shit loads

Things have seemed to have been smooth out. Each living in there own harmony.
Journey is touring with a fresh strong voice & Steve Perry has been content to live his life out of the limlight.

Don't want to make too much of a big deal about a book that it's not anything that is not already availavle to the public but the compilation serves to intensify what has been the suject of much heated debate.

You know, I don't see this book as doing that. For those who love Perry, then it will simply serve to be a complation of the stories they've either shared, or heard about him.

Unless it's one of those "tell all" books that digs really deeply into what went on behind the scenes (and I haven't gotten the impression that it is), it'll be a book that folks will want to read for the pleasure of reading it. I doubt that it'll cause any problems, but that's just my opinion.

Mine too.
I've been starved of information about him (living over the pond, as I do) so I'm looking forward to reading it - because I haven't heard many stories about him. I have gleaned bits from the internet, but it will be nice for me to have all those stories in book form.
It being 'Unauthorized' doesn't bother me one bit.
I am an avid reader of biographies, and in my experience, the Unauthorized ones have often been more fun to read. :)

First,I want to thank Andrew for being such a classy guy and putting up the news on the MR’s front page.I am honored. :)

About the book,…It wasn’t easy, but I am happy I brought it to life.
I really wanted to put together something that any Steve Perry/Journey fan would like to have at home…Including myself, lol.

A few things…

The pictures are all from Mike Hausmann’s personal collection. He was the only ex-official Journey photographer who was nice enough to give me permission to use the pictures.
The other photographers I have contacted were…absurd.I just couldn’t afford what they asked.
Anyway,no "personal pics"… ...
Hopefully one day,Steve Perry will write his autobiography and we'll all get to see pics we've never seen before.

Styxie,I have to ask…Are you saying you can't order the book from Lulu.com?No one reported that until now… :?

The distribution process is pretty complicated and it takes a bit of time.
According to the publishing house, the book will be up on Amazon,Barnes & Nobels,Borders within 6 weeks. This week the book was updated in Ingram's database and listed on Books In Print,so the online booksellers will take it from there..
Until it will be up on Amazon and others,it’s available on Lulu.com and I assure you that they are very prompt in deliveries.

I hope you all enjoy it...

Thanks for your kind words. :)

Shania,
Got my book in the mail yesterday. Easy to order and only took 5 days to get here. Thank you. Loved your thank you note too. :)

PF,

Whereever you got that quote from, they didn't read the book yet. I am in it, and I have never met Steve. I only put a concert memory in it. So that last sentence is wrong.............sheesh.

I saw another quote from someone stating that they would send it to the first person who e-mailed them because they got it and thought it was a waste of money. Did anyone else see that, or was I hallucinating?

I have met Steve....mmm but I never submitted anything for the book....possible someone else has "met" Steve in the book.
PS: There are many interpretations of met.
Met as in same place or concert in person
Met as in face to face autograph contact or conversation.

Perhaps "met' has been loossely translated into "seen in concert".

Geez...who is the page width hog? Got to be a oversize avatar somewhere.

The small minority of people on this board fucking disgust me....One of our MR regular members has written a book over a year and a half for us to enjoy...it's not the The Lord of The Rings, Cider with Rosie or Day of the Triffids...it's a book on Steve Perry containing information gathered from the public domain and other sources and then written in the authors own words. Now the author happens to be Romanian, who has over the years taken on English as her second language (for you fucking flag flyers out there, I'll call it the American langauge just to keep you happy) She's also taken on and loves the American way of life of which I'll have to talk to her about :?

I've seen other reviews on other boards and no way would I post them on here (just getting a cowardly little dig in are you). One board about all things Steve Perry-it's just a bunch of headless fannies all livin' in a totally retarded community, that place sinks below BT, so it's the total fucking pits in my opinion, ain't that right horse girl :x

The author is hard skinned and can take all this but some things just wear you down....all shes done is give us something Journey related, nothing more, nothing less and I for one can't wait to receive the book, even if it is going to take 2 weeks, fuck I waited 20 odd years to see Journey!

As for the fans who contributed, good on ya, whether you met or just happened to be at a concert, WTF it's a contribution and worthy of a read. S...W, lady I like you, you know but me and you have to sort some issues out via PM...I'll be in touch:wink:

Those that have posted good vibes...keep it up as a small note of appreciation goes a long way, our S has worked her arse off on this, make her smile as christ only knows she's been through the mill over the past week or so.

I wasn't going to continueAvatar but I've some major issues to clear up and I tell you he's coming back in killer fucking mode....Deano PM me 20 different picture of hippos and I'm going to find me a horse picture

Quote of the week in my books, has to be 'Steve wants to be left alone' - well what the fuck are you poison little shits talkin' about him every fucking day of the week for then, shut the fucking board down dykes.............................and no I don't mean this board or BT.

The new adventures is to feature for the first time out of the Disney camp, the all new and brutally mean Donald Duck. Anyway I'm off to buy a pair of Nike shoes, at least that fucker wasn't moaning about the book

To all of those who don't like what I said....Te Fut the lot of you :x

Thanks everyone for the nice words and support. :)
Hope all of you will enjoy the read...As I told to many before, that is my biggest reward.

Styxie,come on...you know I am tough.
I can't get upset because of some people who have no idea what they are talking about.

I am happy that I wrote this book and obviously,a lot of fans are enjoying it.
The large number of positive messages I got via e-mail or PM surpassed by far the bitter rants.

"Hold my hand".

ps - Ok,I will consider moving to Rome...City of Rome,NY that is! I'm already packing.
