Does anyone know if Neal moved to Minnesota?

Postby The_Noble_Cause » Thu Sep 14, 2006 1:01 am

Earlier in the year Neal stated his intentions to immerse his bait and tackle in liquid nitrogen by becoming a full fledged resident of Minnesota.
I claimed this would be detrimental to whatever little chemistry existed in the obviously dawdling Augeri-era.
JSS is centered in around California or thereabouts.
With his new dynamic frontman nearby I wonder if Neal is still going to commit to moving to that frozen arctic hell.

He's moving to MN, not Siberia. Minnesota is only seriously cold maybe in Jan and and Feb. The rest of the year there is very nice unless your near the Canadian border and if Neal is moving there, his wife is from Waseca, which is far south. It's not California by any means, but then again who wants to live with smog, earthquakes and plastic people?

Yes he moved...the music scene is kicking in Minneapolis (sorry if I spelled it wrong) evidenlty.
He even likes the cold weather and the change of seasons.

Pity.
I guess in this expeditious technology-ladden age, JSS and Neal will write songs by phone or web cam.
Or perhaps write none at all!

Anything that possibly yields major implications for Journey's future qualifies as a "big fucking deal".
Besides, it provides fodder for discussion on this creatively-bankrupt board.

i always understood they got together to write,, as in an official business "meeting",, not causually at each others houses,, seems when the bands are young they write all the time with each other,, in all settings,, then after success , they come up with 2 weeks and get together ,, what ever comes out is released!! they will all meet in feb 07, album in september 07 i bet,

That sounds plausible to me.
I just hope JSS's inclusion lit a fire under Neal's ass.

LMAO...Noble do you get out much past your own back yard? Do you know ANYTHING about the Minneapolis(yes you did spell it right Ross)music scene, the musicians who have come from MN? Those who are still there? Legends? Even the one hit wonders?

Bob Dylan

Prince

The Replacements

Husker Du

Soul Asylum

The Jets

Jonny Lang

Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis

Martin Zeller

Kelly Keagy of Night Ranger lives in Northfield, just south of the cities.

to name a few. Minnesota could be a very creative outlet for Neal. Open the mind a little.

None of those aforementioned people are in Journey.
As for Bob Dylan, Neal already has a perfectly fine bad singer lined up in Ross Valory if the occassion should present itself.

Oh okay, TNC.

Well then, I don't think Neal living in a different state is going to hinder the creativity shared by the band. World Play was written without Neal and Jeff being next to one another. If I remember correctly Neal sent Jeff recordings of the music and Jeff added lyrics- or something close to that.

You're right. Forgot about that.
Guess this thread is a worthless bunch of bullshit then.

Ah, yes, because everyone knows it's not your talent, drive, determination or writing ability, it's where you LIVE that spells your success. It's all clear now, thank you.

And where did I ever state that? Show me.
It's a simple fact that it's easier to write with your bandmates when they share ur zipcode.
Go place another bulk shipment order of drake's cakes and ho-ho's.

Let's face it
They are almost living on the road again.
So when they go home let them spend some time with there families
Doesn;t matter where
.
Sure it would be better to have access to your bandmates
but Neal is a family man and his wife is alone alot when he is on the road
so it';s better for her to be with her family in her home town..

It's his life
where he lives isn;t really all that much of a big deal

Christ...you are worse than Deano...and that's because Deano, for all his faults, is ORIGINAL...you are just some imitation Deano or a wannabe, I can't figure out which is worse.

Do your own thing or shut the fuck up, one Deano is enough. Two of him, especially one who doesn't live up the standard (that would be YOU) is too fucked up to contemplate!

Only in response to your post(s) needless seething cyniscism.
You strike me as a callous former shell of a person.
Did too many men break your heart in your lifetime, or did too many john's walk out on the bill?

No, it just gets old dealing with people like you who have no fucking idea what they are talking about and can't see past their own nose and their own backyard so they talk out of their ass. One positive about that...you're damn good at it.
