I laughed my ass off at her excuses. She has no recollection of the Mary Jo Whatshername story.

Yeah I liked that part too. She claimed she'd never heard of her. Whatever!!!!!!

yulog,

I am going to have to strongly disagree with you on your first sentence. I am bipolar, and in my manic phase, the most I do is get into a cleaning jag, or do mass organization of my stuff, etc, in my apartment. I do not forget what is right or wrong. Cleary this woman is trying to get out of paying the consequences of her actions, in which she definitely chose to follow thru on her thoughts about it. She knows what is right and wrong. She knows she is wrong and is trying to use anything just to get out of it.

And just think, she will be a registered sex offender for the rest of her life.

Clearly CRL you are not the typical bipolar. The majority of bipolars who are untreated don't simply do any of the things you mentioned they are more expansive; clearly out of control and make very bad decisions. One of the most promiment symptoms of a bipolar is their sexual appetite. There are several subtypes of bipolar illnesses and we do not know which one she is diagnosed with; so who can say if she is negligent or not but suffice to say she made very poor decisions.

Classic did not want you to be lumped into that same group----if you took it that way i apologize but there are many levels of bipolar disorder and also many people are misdiagnosed as bipolar.Psychiatry is not an exact science. A true manic patient can and often will be hyperverbal ,intrusive will have a flight of ideas and even take on the role of someone else despite not being qualified and often are convincing at it--my guess is if you have manic episodes they do not reach that extreme i've worked with these type of patients, usually they are hospitalized when they get to this point my guess is possibly this teacher wasnt going to her psychiatrist enough or she came off her medication. Many of these patients actually like being in their manic phase.

Acutally, Deano makes a good point. Don't get me wrong, Bipolar disorder is very real but also very over diagnosed. It just makes me wonder with all of the other excuses that she had if she was truly bipolar or not.

Unfortunately a full blown bipolar in manic phase is hard to miss; in fact they usually draw the most attention. And, the person suffering with the symptoms is on an incredible high which makes then feel powerful and the King or Queen of the world along with other prominent symptoms.

Why is she still trying to come off as the innocent victim??? She claims that she wishes she knew how it all happened. Who the hell knows if she doesn't?

Luckiest 14 year old boy in the country. I would've never fucked that up.

remember about 1980 or so in penthouse forums every month there was a story about this..except the students were 16-17...... the stories we thought were made up of teachers and students... well I guess there not!! 14 is a bit young.. but I bet he bragged about it first--before his parents found out... (disclaimer---i did not see the story...)

Thanks yulog. :) I didn't know that you worked with patients with bipolar disorder. Mine never get to the point where I lose control of myself. I do have lots of ideas running thru my head, and that can make me a bit manic (to where I will start something, but not finish it before going onto something else),but then I do have my low points (depression) as well. At least I did get a handle on it early, before it could get any worse. Now what I need to do is change my medication. The one I am on makes me sweat so bad when I am doing a little bit of cleaning. It is a side effect, and I don't like it one bit. I can have my apartment as cold as a fridge, and I would still be sweating !

hehehe, that's for sure...

Then again, the only thing she's sorry about, is that she got caught. If I were him, I wouldn't be mentioning that story to my friends, he's gonna be living that down for the rest of his life.

This is way too true.

And to further the story along, AFTER she was found guilty . and I think sentenced as well, she called the kid on his cell - and did a dance for him - the kid recorded it - only part of it is available for public viewing.

Oh yeah, so proud to be from Florida.

Read all of the article and at the end is where she wants to change careers.

It would have drove me insane doing her at 14. I wouldn't have been able to think about anything else. I'd just be wanting to do that 24-7.
