It's a bit Jon and Vangelis...but I reckon it's a great tune....

Uber-annoying chorus. Love the beginning, hate the song as a whole because of the unintelligible whiny repetitive chorus.

Said it before, will say it again.

"OOHTHOSEBLACKGUYSTHERESTOLEMYCARRR"

Umm...what?

Certainly different hearing JSS doing the vocals on these songs, that's for sure.

Nice though.

Well, if they did headline anywhere, they may need longer than a 80 minute set, so they may want to work up some additional songs for that, or just to add some variety to the current set list.

my 2 cents.

I agree with, Larry!! I dig this one, too! They need to do some that haven't been done in a long time! At least throw one new/old one in a set! 8)

I've got no problem with Daydream, but Jss's voice doesn't really work for it.
Also, somebody buy Ross a metronome... yikes.

GCHI is a classic. I'd MUCH rather hear that than IBAWY- (foolish heart part II), or Who's Crying Now. God, is anybody else sick of that song? Take out Who's Crying Now, Anyway You Want It and put in Line of Fire and Where Were You.

I do think this was the first time they played this song with Jeff.

Sorry about the "sauce" in the mix.
Also worked on Girl Can't help It and Daydream.

So when do we get the Journey headlining tour?

Please can someone kindly reupload I'll Be Alright Without You? I am getting a message stating that the download limit has been reached for this file.

This is true. Still, Jss is straining to hit the notes. Listen to the 'I keep telling Myself...." sections.

I'm still being told that "Quicktime doesn't understand this file". Anyone on a MAC who knows how to get You Sendit to deliver something more than a blank "transfer php" file? Thanks in advance...

Matthew,

Don't you have Windows Media Player on your MAC? It says that it is an MP3 file.

Ummm, even lowered a whole step there would be a strain before I or anyone is warmed up...dude, ease up on the tuning down thing, it aint gonna happen, doesn't need to happen, if some nights are on & some aren't, it's live, there are other reasons for strain that have to do more with putting on a live show than worrying about every note sounding like the record....thanks for the concern but bro, I'm fine, no need to keep harping on lowering the keys, u sound like my mom :)

Works fine on my Mac.

Is your Quicktime Player up to date. Also you can save it to disk, than import it into itunes.

Try Shania's links, they work on my Mac.

There must be something wrong with my machine, jrnyjunky. MP3s from YouSend it used to work...

But actually...I haven't updated my Quicktime for about two years...so maybe that's it. Will update now. Thanks.

And apologies to everyone else for such utter tedium.

JSS - are you going to be singing "Raised on Radio" songs in concert? Or were you just playing IBAWY and GCHI for a laugh at the soundcheck?

Do us all a solid. Talk the boys into dropping Who's Crying Now.

Please.

Unlike the others who want Line of Fire or some such, I want something completely different. Gimme Stay Awhile or One More.

A few posts here from folks that have obviously never been to a soundcheck.

That time is for fucking around...seriously...time to have fun and be loose, free of expectations and just jam...all while the road crew do their thing and get sound levels right.

Not too often will anyone get a clip of anything from a soundcheck, so enjoy it for what it is. I DIG IT!

Been to soundchecks (Journey was the first in '99 @ the Woodlands TX) but I just never heard the metronome so prominent before as it is on IBAWY. Other than that....Sounds FUCKING GREAT for a Soundcheck. :-)

The metronome being so loud in this mix should be a clue for you to figure out where this recording came from. If you think that met is loud... you should hear Deen's or John's mixes. These recordings can be HARSH and are not a true representation of how it sounds live in the arena. I think JSS sounds KILLER on these clips for what it is.
