Why is THIS emotional?

The Federal Government NOT doing its' job?
The State Government NOT doing its" job?

What?

What's next, Bono, making a political statement?

Louisiana being blue instead of red is the ONLY news worthwhile!

While you're at it, post about Tulane university. They are the REAL victims! They are college kids without per diem and millions of dollars!

Come on Nora!

By the way, I was in Connecticut, and along with RI, the only two states I would ever consider visiting in the NE Corridor!

Yeah, that's the spirit. Way to bring the country together there.

BTW, neither party has a grip on reality, so let me know when you libs can put a coherent thought together in between f-bombs and bong hits and maybe we can have a civil discussion about real politics rather than a drunken drive-by.

Hey, you a little bitter about your precious litle Faux news getting their mics stuck up their collective asses from president Clinton? Good.

Bring the country together? You are kidding right? Your party has achieved their goal of seperating the very seems that were once the United States of America.

Again I say to you, Fuck you, and your party. Hope you like BIG cocks up your ass, because it's a comin November! And I will be laughing my ass off!

Who voted for Bush in New Orleans? The people there have been voting solid Democrat, Republicans don't even run there. That place has been a liberal utopia for decades, hasn't it? No wait what we had there were a bunch of poor souls that learned to count on the government for everything. Bush told governor Blanco to order an evacuation, but the local gov't put it off until less than a day before Katrina arrived. Way too late! Come on Deano, put the hatred behind you and think! You might like it.

Republicans do the separating? Not quite. I think it was Al Gore who was doing the separating. See if you remember this, during the 2000 debates.

Al Gore tried separating the rich from the poor by railing against "tax cuts for the rich", and talking about some mythical "lockbox".

Al Gore tried separating the elderly from the young by saying Bush was going to "raid Medicare and Social Security" still babbling about some "lockbox"

And most famously Al Gore tried separating blacks from whites during the 2nd debate by breaking debate rules and directly shouting to Bush, "Do you support quotas? Do you support quotas"?! Bush rightly ignored Gore and letting him hang there like the idiot he made himself out to be. And, Bush doesn't support quotas he believes the most qualified person should get the job, regardless of skin color.

So spare me the "very seams that were once the United States of America" crap. Stretching those seams to the breaking point is all your party has.

Fox News is no worse on the right side of the spectrum than CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, and ABC are on the other side. You can continue having your pipe dreams that Fox News is part of some evil conservative plot to dominate America but it's not going to change the fact that most other media outlets in this country lean the other direction. But I guess since you're a flaming liberal, that's probably just fine with you.

Go ahead and "laugh your ass off" because the Republicans will have deserved being voted out if that happens. I am indeed a registered Republican but I feel no more obligation to vote for idiots who spend out of control and do nothing about border security than I do for anyone else. I sometimes vote Democrate, Libertarian, independent, etc., so you can laugh if you wish but it won't be at my expense.

You see, it isn't Republicans or Democrats that are flushing this country down the toilet. It's people like you who want play the blame game on the other side for all the crap that you're probably just as responsible for, so don't give me that shit-for-brains argument that the Republicans have the goal of separating the country. If you truly believe that, your head is a sorry excuse for a brain container.

And he'd be 100% on the nose.
Bush has raided Social Security to pay for his dunderheaded Iraq project.

And Bush broke the same debate rules while arguing with Kerry...talking over his allotted time and bellowing right over the moderator.

Yeah, dude.
ABC's "The Path to 9-11" was every liberal propagandists wet dream.

I am sorta addicted to cable news - with the exception of FOX, most strike me as being fairly moderate and trying to cater to both sides.

Furthermore,

MSNBC has self proclaimed conservatives/libertarians Tucker, Scarborough, Rita Cosby.
Where are all the liberals?
Granted, Chris Mathews is a registered Dem, but he voted for Bush in 2000, and really just goes whichever way the wind blows.

CNN has outspoken Conservatives Lou Dobbs and Glen Beck.
That's about it.
Wolf Blitzer is alot like Russert on NBC and tries to nail EVERYONE's scrot equally to the wall (dem, repub, whatever).

As for Larry King, well, he is a decomposing corpse and they can't have opinions

Tell me, who on these so-called "liberal" channels offers a distinctively and outright liberal point of view?

Aside from Keith Olberman, it's simply not out there.

Yeah, the network caved in to the nutjob liberals. Boy, that's really something you'd expect a conservative to do, huh?

You're a typical blind-to-the-truth leftist. I'm not talking about the opinion shows. They are not news shows. They are opinion/debate shows. People just don't want to watch liberal opinion/debate shows, for the most part. As pro-conservative as Fox seems to be, the same can be said of CNN in the opposite direction and most of the other networks. Take a look at Dan Rather's rabid Bush hatred, not to mention his disdain for George H.W. Bush, for that matter.

It's no wonder the media has a liberal slant, for the most part, when upwards of 70-80% of journalists define themselves as Democrats and/or liberals. Try reading any op-ed columns in local papers from Journalism professors. Most of them slant left. I've read a few just in the Indianapolis Star and those have been liberal (and the Indy Star isn't a far left paper as some are).

Don't get me wrong. I don't think most media outlets, with the exception of the New York Times and their ilk, are consciously slanting to the left, just like I don't think Fox News consciously slants to the right.

CBS caved in to Conservative ass clowns and pulled "The Reagans" TV movie with much less ado.
The fact that it skipped your memory just shows how little uproar the GOP even had to make.
One muffled whimper and CBS pulled the plug.

conversationpc wrote:I'm not talking about the opinion shows.

Then you need to stop using FOX news as your frame of reference.
90% of their programming is opinion or contains partisan editorializing (O'Reilly, Hannity, Beltway Boys, Cavuto etc)

As pro-conservative as Fox seems to be, the same can be said of CNN in the opposite direction and most of the other networks.

Bullshit.
They were capable of assembling a movie out of Fox's plentiful lies.
I'd love to see a filmmaker attempt to do the same thing with CNN.
They couldn't.
As much as you wish Wolf Blitzer was a bastion of gushing liberalism, he ain't.

Take a look at Dan Rather's rabid Bush hatred, not to mention his disdain for George H.W. Bush, for that matter.

What a topical example.
That guy isn't even on the air, dipshit.

just like I don't think Fox News consciously slants to the right.

They've even had ex-employees go on record stating that their is a right-of-center mission statement circulating there.
I watch FOX News. I enjoy FOX News.
With that said, I am also fully aware that they have a right-leaning bias.

Do you even own a TV, dude?
I get the distinct impression from your posts that you have high speed intenet and maybe a transistor radio.

Funny how libs complain and whine about FOX NEWS when they have;
ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NEW YORK TIMES, LOS ANGELES TIMES, AL-JAZEERA, AL-ARABYA,....

How DARE us have ONE conservative-leaning network.

Oh the humanity!
