Hey, I hope that I'm wrong, Deano. I love everything about JSS. The fact that this guy signs onto this website and tells people to kiss his ass when they tell him he isn't any good makes this guy hard not to pull for. That said, I'm not prepared to put Jeff or anyone else on Perry's level, unless they prove otherwise. With all due respect to Jeff, I'm just not sure that he is of the same caliber of Perry, and I'm not sure Jeff would even disagree with me. That doesn't mean I won't be the first person to spend my money on a new Journey cd with Jeff at the helm!

Nice post. No ONE is as good, or will ever be as good as Steve Perry, but Jeff is as good as a showman, and this guy has balls as big as Montana, and I love the guys heart, love, character and respect, for JOURNEY.

Jeff Scott Soto is THE guy to take us to new Frontiers! I just love the guy. He is THE shit!!

As I've said...I was worried about his voice in the beginning from the boots...but I ALSO knew he needed a little time to get acclimated. These are ROUGH fucking songs to sing. But I've been sold since the Houston show. AMAZING job there IMO. :-)

Well, okay so you can't tell us some private stuff and that is understandable, but is there anything you can share at this moment like other possible countries they might tour? I would love to go to the UK in the spring, but sounds quite cold. Dean, anything? do we have to wait for Andrew's interview? do we have to beg?

England sucks! You all know I hate those yellow toothed fuckers, BUT......

I would go there in a heartbeat to be with my Journey brethren! JSS has quite the following there, so that is great for Joureny. This is only the beginning!

That'd work too. Maybe the Backyard again or Erwin Center. MUCH rather this tour hit the Texas World Speedway HERE though. :-)

2 more years?

Postby Rock Fn » Tue Sep 26, 2006 1:14 pm

I think the new energy will give the band a couple more years of touring. A new album? I don't know. It's almost not worth it anymore. Hell, the Stones couldn't get air play with their new cd. I hate modern radio.

I saw Augeri once in 1998- that was enough. I saw Jeff in July and he was good. I thought I WILL GO AGAIN . Now,nothing will top Perry because we have him on albums and live DVD & as a major writer & hitmaker. It is hard at concerts to hear sometimes,so I still reserve some opinion. When Jeff puts something to DVD or cd that will be the real judgement. He is a showman with talent and gives it his all. That is what Journey was know for in their hit days. Congrats to him for running for the gold !

8) Just got back from a New England weekend....I definitely have to agree with you Deano...that show at Tweeter Center was absolutely fucking incredible...WOW!! Jeff has improved 10 fold on vocals since I saw him at West Palm Beach. Dead Or Alive..EDge Of The Blade..holy shit!! Unbelievable!!
Journey kicked major ass Saturday night! Def Leppard was amazing as well!

I'm glad I made the trip!

Deano...If I had known you were going to be there, I would have looked for you! :o

I want a good SOUNDBOARD recording of this show!! I hope someone can make this happen!

Dude I saw them earlier in this tour, and this comment is the most rediculous comment I have ever read on this forum. I suppose he hit THE NOTE Perry used to hit during "Wheel in the Sky" during Schon's solo, you know the "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh" that lasts about 12 seconds and no one has been able to hit flawlessly since Perry about 25 years ago. I'm sure Jeff himself when reading this thinks you're a whackjob for writing it. I'm going to see them again in Grand Rapids on Oct. 24th thankfully Jeff has stepped in and allowed Journey to continue. But that was a stupid, blind, or deaf comment Deano!

Of course! Coming from a Raider fan, who is blinded by myopia. I am full of shit. Hey, like I said, the train is leaving....it's your choice to stay or come along.

I am the most honest guy on here. I dare you suggest another more honest than me.

PS- FUCK the Raiders. Enjoy your 3 win season, if that!

If I was blinded like you, I'd be saying this is the best Raiders team in the past 30 years. But I firmly grounded in reality (unlike yourself) knowing our offensive line is miserable and agree with you prediction of their season. What I want to know is if Jeff hit THE note in WITS like Perry did 25 years ago. After all this IS the best lineup in the history of Journey, isn't it?
