Poor Jeff,

I've read a couple of reviews of the latest shows that say that he looks like an American Idol contestant! Good grief. Guy has an established career outside the U.S. but no one seems to know it. Hope he shows them! Good luck Jeff. You are doing a GREAT job so far.

Typical myopic US media.....I guess that will be the convenient knock on JDouble now. When in need of print fodder play the unknown/Idol card.

Just like with SA it was the Perry lookalike ( :? )/soundalike card.

No way to avoid those comparisons. He takes it all in stride as anyone knows. I have heard newer boots and I have to say I am sold on him now. I still think that Deen is amazing though aftet seeing him do mother father and playing drums at the same time. Thats just unreal !

How can you look like an AI contestant? Happy? Exhilarated? Excited? or, Cheesy? Not talented and Way Out of Your League?

Maybe, for the most part, because he's covering ready made hits. It will be different when and if he and the guys make some hits of their own.

I don't understand what that's supposed to mean as I've never watched that show before :?

I can say that he's getting the media's attention, which I see as a good thing....I'm not too worried about any negative stuff, it didn't seem to affect SP too much in a bad way

Jeff has what it takes to prove himself, as he is already doing....

No, they're all referring to Justin Guarini, I guess ignorance is bliss in comparing a 40 year old Puerto Rican to a 20 something year old Mulatto boy, goes to show people just aim racial shit because they couldn't care less in researching facts 1st. Honestly, I could care less, part of the game until you're a household name, which Guarini became for a short while, at least they're not comparing me to Carrot Top :)

That contestant had barely passable talent; a cute face and cute hair. However all of those things weren't enough to make him a household name. Never in a million years could that happen. I am sure that there are lots of other ingredients needed before you can become a bonafide star and Justin never in his wildest dreams had those qualities. Now on the other hand I think that the new singer JSS has major qualities which have made him a star. He's got talent and charisma and this wild frentic energy and power behind that long lean body and voice. I do think that people seem to be still having a little trouble just accepting him and letting go of the Wiggle man.

I still think the comparison will be there until, as you put it Jeff, you're a household name. Fancy you becoming a household name before Neal.

LMAO, just what Neal needs someone else to be at conflict with. It has always been about the singer whether you all like to admit it or not! If it wasn't about the singer then why bring in Steve Augeri and now JSS? You think Journey instrumental four men team would get a second look? No way no how!

Are you saying that Neal would like to be lusted after as the singers Augeri and JSS are? That he'd like to be the object of the fans affection? Or that he likes standing up on stage just playing his guitar and not being the major drool factor?

Frankly I am shocked that Neal hasn't figured out that he should take over the lead vocals. :? That would end all his damn troubles! :D

I am gonna guess that you HAVE been compared to Garrot Top in the past. I say this because (unfortunately) that is how my wife referred to you. If you read my review of Red Rocks you know that she was not the kindest in her opinion of you. But then, she is a big fan of Steve's and only a casual fan of Journey's...
