Perry swear alot in concerts? wow, I know I heard a few reviews, but seriously - sounds like Perry had a potty mouth.

I never heard him do the language thing here in the midwest. He did on the west coast, east coast and Detroit.

I have had this one for years.......although Long Beach isn't one of the better quality boots out there, it is unedited (Detroit is better quality). Liam and Granny I'll post the LBeach one up on yousendit if anybody wants it. Let me know.

I like the Colorado show where Perry says "Thank you. Next time we'll bring more Joints!"

Would this have been one of the last Journey shows at that time? Didn't they...I mean Perry call it quits in Alaska not too long after that.

I was listenig to the Detriot show yesterday,..Thanks Clasicrock !!! :D and Perry sounded good in some spots and a bit rough in others..Stone in love wasn't that good or was Ask the Lonely way too fast , but he sounded good on the ROR material, but it was great too hear. I wonder home much Perry had to beg to get his solo stuff in the concert and Jailhouse rock...so many Journey songs that could of been played.

From the sound of that great Chicago 1979 boot, while they sound tight as hell musically, they sound really loose too. I tend to think those earlier shows were the "loosest," the first few years. They were still having fun.

I don't know if Steve was drunk, high, or what during this show, or any of them, but what I have seen in the videos of ROR, Steve does look like he is totally worn out. Now, if I remember, 1985 wasn't a good year for Steve. Besides the breakup with Sherrie, there was his mother, who was very ill. So with those, and whatever else he might of been going thru, this was the beginning of the end of Journey as we knew it. Not to long after this show, Steve stopped the ROR tour. And Journey just faded away........

Not sure Dave, that's just the way I got it. :)
