OT | Soul Man Sam Moore's New CD

Postby Jeremey » Fri Sep 29, 2006 3:18 am

Anyone heard of this guy? of Sam and Dave, the original Soul Man....Just came out with a huge duets record a few weeks ago. I know the guy had a big impact on Steve Perry, it would have been cool to see Perry's name somewhere in the credits of this one. Could have been a great way to get him a little back into the spotlight from a recording standpoint!! Check out Sam's record here:

Unbelievable! I read a marvelous review I believe in People Magazine but they give it solid "thumbs up". He had a powerhouse voice singing with Dave. I'll check out the sounds you left for us to hear...but I hear it's a great CD. Thanks for posting!

Had no idea he had any impact on Espee! Wow!

Randy Jackson produced! Oh and I read the list of singers who did the duets...great to know that Sam still has a voice and people want to sing with him.

I didn't think ANYONE would remember HIM!!!
Back then my mom was a big Star Search junkie (remember Sawyer Brown???) and she really liked his voice. But she hated the way he chewed his gum and the way he dressed. I remember that he one something like 12 times in a row. Then he changed his image and he lost. I am convinced that he was asked to do that so the judges could "justify" him finally losing so they would have some competition in the "finals".
As far as I know the guy put out 2 CDs...after that?????????

Maybe I will go Google-ing!
