If Perry keeps pumping out the old dvd concerts and JSS/Journey keep touring.......best of both worlds IMO! :D

IMO too! I'm sitting here at PC listening to Long Beach concert from 1986. Awesome. Wish I had been there. :) :) :) :)

There's nothing to bash. That word lurk .....funny, but it reminds me of a snake slithering. Can't help it. It does.

All of the Perry fans that I've talked to are OK with Jeff being in there.

Yeah, right...OK... Where's that kiss-ass smiley?

Of course Steve Perry is still our favorite singer and probably always will be, but that doesn't mean we can't like what Jeff is bringing to the band. He's sure as hell got a lot to bring.

Whatever you say.... And once again your beady little eyes divert to the bottom half.

I'm not trying to argue, I just want you to know that all of us(at least that I'm acquainted with) are behind Jeff and hoping for some great new music.

 Yeah...right...OK...

That female duet wouldn't be with Shania Twain and produced by Mutt would it?

Nice segue into diversion.....

Hey Dean,

I'm glad you had a great time at the concert. It sounds like Jeff and the guys are on the right track and happy to be so.

I still lurk here sometimes and I haven't seen any JSS or Journey bashing being done by any Perry fans. All the bashing seems to be poster against poster. Yes - I agree - JSS has been accepted by almost every Perry fan I've come across. Perry fans bashed Augeri for good reason and they were right all along....

Well said Dean! You will now save me wasting my hard earned money anymore on a lipp synching singer and the band are as you say on fire again.
In regard to peoples thoughts on you or your delivery, they seem to forget that you have given them value for money in a Journey show again :)
PLus i would rather read a post with some sense of reality than deal with the cult like mods on BT telling me i am a trouble maker because i belive Steve is not coming back or that he lipped!

As usual, you continue to prove with each of your postings what a jackass you are! Take your idiotic "God" comments and shove them up your ass! Unlike the zero respect you have for Perry, there are many of us Perry fans who have NEVER had any problems with Augeri! The reality is that you wouldn't be here talking about Journey if Perry was never a member of Journey, because you (and everyone else) would have never heard of them! You'd be on another band's website espousing your venom about a departed lead vocalist who you hate because most like! Go find a new hobby. Your Perry bashing is nauseating! By the way...you should head over to Balk Talk and hop aboard the Augeri "wiggle" thread! They'd love you over there. They could definitely use a guy talking about how "dreamy" Augeri's ass shaking is in his red leather pants. I'm sure there is plenty of space for one more cheerleader over there!

Surely it's far more idiotic to keep attacking the singer with extraordinary talent whilst defending the mediocre surrogate for that extraordinary talent?

I like Deen's voice. And I respect JSS for being his own man. I can't say either of those things about Augeri.

Augeri's time as the Journey frontman was a disastrous era for the band. You yourself recently contrasted in Journey's career in 1998 with 2006. The bottom line is that HE JUST WASN"T GOOD ENOUGH. Now that's what you really seem to be having trouble understanding....

Augeri was excellent when he first joined. Before the tape stuff, he was pretty good at his job - which was to sing Perry-fronted songs. His vocals on all the albums rock.

When Jeff's voice fades because he sings Escape too much, he won't be good enough either.

I agree with this too...especialy since JSS tries just as hard to sing Journey songs as Perry did...no different then Augeri. He doesn't add his own 'spin' on it...He does it just it were 198x.

Yes, SOME Perry fans had respect for Augeri. And, some absolutely HATED him. You HAVE to admit that much.

And, some post about Perry as if he could do no wrong and was the salvation of Journey, etc...very much like they were talking about god.

The reality is that you wouldn't be here talking about Journey if Perry was never a member of Journey, because you (and everyone else) would have never heard of them!

And, NOBODY knows if that would be true, or not. It's an alternate timeline that we can not predict with any amount of accuracy.

Your Perry bashing is nauseating!

Saying that Perry is not a god is Perry bashing. Seems like somebody doesn't want to face reality...YOU.

By the way...you should head over to Balk Talk and hop aboard the Augeri "wiggle" thread!

Or, maybe you should go back to the booze and sex thread here. Is this forum REALLY so much different any longer?

Well, 1986 was hardly a disastrous year was it? A classic album...2.5 million albums sold...sell-out headlining tour....four hit singles...

And 1996 wasn't bad either.

Was it a disaster that Journey took so many years off? Maybe.

Nothing in the decade you mention can compare with the sorry state of affairs Journey found itself in earlier this year....or even back in 2001.
