Battered French Fries vs. Regular Fries

Postby AR » Sun Oct 01, 2006 9:12 am

Every fucking carry out in my neighborhood now batters their french fries. They taste like paper or ass. Who the fuck decided that regular fries weren't any good? A bunch of fat ass house wives? WTF?

Battered fries taste like nothing and I am ready to start a revolt. MotherFUCKER!

Hey, I know I'm a redneck...but what the fuck is a battered french fry? :?

French fries don't need to be messed with. All they need is a little salt, and they're happy. And we're happy. Oh sure...you can melt a pile of cheese over them every now and then...it goes good with beer. Image

But...who would mess with a french fry? One of the world's most perfect foods. Damn communist bastards! Image

Official word from Idaho-home of the potatoes, batter does not belong on french fries. Regular is the only way to go-dipped in fry sauce (it's an Idaho thing!)

I thought we fried EVERYTHING in Texas, but I haven't seen battered fries. Seems sort of redundant to me. 8)

We should send them all to the Battered Fry Shelter to get them off the streets and into anonymous recovery.

I like 'em naked, battered, smothered, covered, gravied... pretty much any way you can make a french fry. :P
All children left unattended will be given
an espresso and a free puppy.

Fucking Burger King started this shit. In Baltimore, there are plenty of places to find awesome fresh cut fries. Salt & Pepper and or vinegar. Burger King must DIE!

FUCKERS started this shit!

Larry's Texas beer battered fries sound cool with the JD. I'm just pissed at these MFing carry outs changing something that was really good before.

From what I know, and I haven't been out to any carryout places lately, they only have regular fries. Some may have those seasoned curly fries, which aren't bad.

But damn, AR, if you say Burger King started it, I ain't going there! A fry has to be naked!

The fact that we will fry anything in Texas is what surprised me about the fries. I thought someone here would've thought of it already! LOL! Yea, it seems that we do have quite a Texas group here. 8)

Fried Oreos, Twinkies, Reeses's cups.
Fried dill pickles. :? (They're actually pretty good.)

Burger King have been selling those nasty battered fries for a couple of years now in London. They don't even offer the option of normal fries.

I can't believe I'm actually talking about this.
