Yeah. I was there. GREAT show. Probably because it was the last show of the current leg. Extra effort & energy that night. I bet Def Leppard said HOLY SHIT, we have to follow that!

Truer words have never been posted. AWESOME show. Good post.

Hall & Oates this coming Wed

Hall & Oates last studio CD was great. "Someday We'll Know" "Do it for Love""Getaway Car" - GREAT STUFF!!!!!!

I loved that album & it charted in the AC. Ms. DJ is my fave track. I saw them live twice since that album. They put on a really great show. Daryl can still really really really sing & he looks great. His hair is so pretty. John ain't so pretty anymore (was he ever really?) but he can play & rock/soul it out w/the best of 'em. I'm very excited to have backstage passes this time. I've never met them.

JSS has been the 'best kept secret' in the music industry for far too long! He deserves every bit of this and so much more! No one has worked harder or longer to perfect their craft than Jeff. The 'powers-that-be' need to uncork their ears, and get their head out of their asses and finally take a look at what a REAL STAR is supposed to sound and look like! It's about time the WORLD knows just who Jeff Scott Soto is!! :D

I want you to negotiate my next employment contract. :)

I can sing and play "Forever for You" - not that it is difficult. Just a cool song.

Someday We'll Know is my fav off that disc.

Man, I wish I could afford those damn VIP seats. We were up in section 7 and it was pretty loud. Your ears must have been bleeding that close! Def Leppard was good as well. I do like them but opening with Let's Get Rocked wasn't high energy enough to keep the flow going after Journey left the stage.

I have seen Journey at Meadowbrook, NH from the 10th row without paying extra. Much smaller venue but usually can get good seats. No Ticketbastard involved.

Well, It's me and my husbands 1st wedding anniversary tomorrow so some friends pitched in and got us 5 star ILAA tickets and a room at the HardRock.

So, we should have good seats.

Definitely see you there.

Deano, these are fabulous--I really loved JSS' Escape version... For a moment on Chain Reaction, I thought they had channeled Jimi Hendrix--JSS sounded like him to me and Neal's picking, too! They are really a great band and I hope they take JSS and Deen and run with it all the way to the top!! (I also hope next year they come through Austin and play at Zilker Park like the Stones are going to on October 22 (hint, hint).)

Another Texas fan! Awesome!! I would love for them to play Austin. I saw them in San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston this summer. Another Texas show is definitely on my Christmas list.

JSS can definitely sing, but I don't think his voice is particularly suited to singing classic Journey songs. His voice would be as good as any for new material though (which won't sound anything like classic Journey regardless who is singing them because the band is so far away creatively from where it once was).

Not only is Schon's playing amazing on these songs, but so is Cain's. From a musical standpoint, this might be the best live version of Edge of the Blade that I have ever heard.

your worst nightmare...... mwwwwwaaahhhh mmwwwaaahhhhh

Just someone who isnt buying into the "over -hype" ..well not until I hear something that tells me this guy is special...

All I hear is the same as before... lots of pre recorded backing vocals, and Deen siinging his balls off in the higher parts ???? to cover up the weakness of the lead singer in those spots.

who the fuck are you??

Edge of the blade..... yes a good performance.. little "wild" on the ad libs at the end... but its not Journey.... its a cover band performing the song now.

Schon sounding shit hot though!!

Perry's voice or a Perry esque voice is forever fused to these songs, and if its not there.... its simply not happening!1

Larry..Im tring to project a little bit of balance here!!

Obviously.. no one here is allowed to take any other opinion than JSS and Journey are now the absolute "dogs bollocks"

For me..Journey are stepping down, with every successive vocalist.

Lets get this straight once and for all...its just my opinion..no more than that. Only I can change it.... JSS is a great singer...but not for Journey..dont care if he grew up shitting Journey songs into the potty. with pics of Perry all over his nursery.... its my opinion...as of now... sorry.. and I dont believe for a minute that my opinion is gon spoil absolutely anyones enjoyment of the band or its music.... and why should it... you all have my permission to keep on enjoying the music.... lol

I dont wanna change anyones opinion...Im just giving my own... can people get that into their heads ... please!!

I take it that "alternative" opinions are still allowed here?? ..and I cerainly wouldnt allow anyone elses opinion to spoil my enjoyment of anything!
