I hope Lula doesn't mind me saying...your looking good, Deano! You look kinda familiar....maybe just remind me of someone. Are you going to be at the Hollywood, FL. concert ?

Reminds you of Hollywood big guy, John Goodman, by any chance??

Hi all - I'm new...lurked long enough; this board is too much fun not to participate in. Keeps me in stitches every time I log on. I'm not computer savvy so forgive me if I do something stupid, not sure if this reply will even show up.... :?

I was in the front row, directly in front of Neal, at the Atlantic City show. The dufus on the cell phone was just two people down on my left. He was actually carrying a conversation, not just holding it up to get a picture, in the middle of Chain Reaction. Couldn't believe it...there's so many people who would've loved standing as close as he was....very disrespectful. Glad Jeff made a comment to point him out, laughed my ass off when I heard it again on the boots.

Thank you Deano for posting them. After seeing your pictures, believe you, NIG and AR were standing just a couple rows behind me. I was the annoying bitch who kept turning around, flailing my arms to flag some friends in the seated section.

I've been a huge fan of Journey, as you all are, and just love, love, love the new energy that Jeff has brought to the band. I'll be going to the Baltimore show in November (I live in Annapolis), hope to see some of you there...

Annoying? No. I remember you. I wore the carpet out when I made about 50 trips to the bar. Annaplois? Ed's house, November 9th and 10th. Sleep over if you want. Beer, Grey Goose and debauchery will be plentiful.

Look forward to seeing you all there then; I'm going to try for 5-star tickets again if the price isn't too crazy. By the way, how do you guys go about getting the backstage meet & greet passes? Is that a special invite directly from a band member or another source?

Thanks bro'. Wow! 1st, JSS is somehow nailing notes that a few months ago he just didnt have. He is a hard working fool, I think Schon met his soul mate in that regard. 2nd the setlist kicksass! The dirty dozen is great, I'm a fan. BUT THESE are the songs that made journey my band. I love their rocking shit. Thanks Deano

That's what I said too. A few months ago, he reached for the notes. Now, he gets them w/ease. I guess he wasn't kidding when he said he needed his 2 weeks off & that he didn't need anyone worrying about straining. The guy knows his own voice & how to use it. The thing is if he's easily getting these notes now he has a totally phenomenal range. His voice is naturally lower/deeper (not sure of the correct musical term) in the tonal sound than Perry's or Augeri's but it's getting easier & easier for him to get up to the real real high highs. Also don't forget he has still only been doing these songs for less than 3 months. If he improves this much w/every show we hear, what can we expect in a year? It's only gonna get better. Exciting huh?

Dude if that was truly the case they'd be headlining by now. Just like DL took over the full time closing set duties from alternating w/ Bryan Adams

yeah Larry..Im sick to death of being likened to Goddam Ringo... his nose is like a blind cobblers thumb !!!

Actually... Im off on Wed to Madrid, to film some comedy sketches for a Spanish TV satire show... I gather it "gently" rips the piss outta celebs... so I expect the stuff to be "Macca divorce -related"

I am waiting for the scripts to be sent today via e mail .... evidently I do my thing in English, and it gets dubbed into Spanish for transmission!!! Most bizarre.... but hell..sounds like fun!!

No, the first part of it is pretty bad and then he pulls it together.

Overall, these are better performances than the early ones I've heard. He still sounds like he is way straining on a lot of the high notes, though. I'd still like them to bring it down a 1/2 step or so.

Bittorents are a pain in the ass to mess with. MP3s might not sound as good but they're a whole heck of a lot easier to work with.
