Isn't it special that he takes time out of his days off to participate & gives us info like this? Who the hell else in showbiz would even bother? If that isn't fan friendly & downright fan appreciation, I don't know what is. Journey fans are damn lucky. It's time we started appreciating it. :D

Is this the JSS appreciation thread?? ;) Seriously, tho, I think we all appreciate JSS posts. I hope he understands that is difficult to pick a "favorite" singer. What's that old country song about "I loved 'em every one"? Ok, it's not quite the same, but I think my point can be follwed - even though I've had my Ambien....

Jeff is one cool guy and I don't think ANYONE here could really dispute that. His interraction with fans on this site has made me actually spend money on his music, that I probably wouldn't have done, otherwise! Me picking Perry was definitely NOT a slight on Jeff. It's simply my preference. Perry will ALWAYS be the "Voice of Journey" to me, and that simply isn't going to change. That doesn't mean that I won't buy Journey music with Jeff at the helm, because I most definitely will. By the way Jeff...Who did you vote for? Could you have possibly voted for Perry?

Nope. I was just kiddin' ya! I've already my Ambien, so I get very looply (as Moonbeam says) and don't always make sense. :) I don't think it's too BTish to let Jeff know we think he ROCKS!!! 8)

Ha ha, I don't vote, it'd be like George W. Bush voting for himself (hmmmm....???), but honestly, Perry to me is the Journey I grew up with & love so yea, he gets me vote....& believe me, if he ever it ever came to fruition (which trust me folks, it never will....trust me!), I would gladly hand him the mic & keep walking....then again, not without asking if I could at least duet on ONE tune! Question then would be who would get the high notes?

It was cute.

Totally agree with ya JRox.....couldn't have said that better myself. :) You're right he didn't have your typical Brad Pitt/J BonJovi chiseled good looks......but definately something special about him, just oozes sex appeal. There is no other musician that I can watch perform or listen to sing (over and over) and never get sick of. And have to say the guy is still as sexy and charming as ever, even at 57. Perry will always be #1 frontman in my books for any band (just has a soulfulness that has never been matched)......but saying that, I welcome JSS as Journey's new frontman with "open arms".

Oh yes. If there was a Journey w/Perry show, I'd bust my butt to get the best tix I could. I'd break into the piggy bank if I had to. But I'd also be scared as hell it would get cancelled at the last minute.

If Journey announced Perry was coming back as their frontman, it would be bittersweet for me. I know it would be one album & maybe one abbreviated tour but after that maybe nothing further ever or at least not for years. While I'd give the world to see that & hear the album, I'd be sad. I, for one, love to go see Journey live at least once a year (preferably more). Life would be strange w/out a Journey show every year. At least w/Jeff at the helm, I can continue to hope for lots of chances to see Journey again.

IMO Perry = some stadiums( weather permitting) or 20-30,000 venues for whatever dates he would desire if in winter. JSS w another top band such as DL = 20-30,000 in summer. The top $$$$ ticket is w Perry. Case closed. Jeff ,I will go to see you again ! You & the band were that good together. Why do I have to be such a picky Journey fan ? I was flat out spoiled by Perry and can never forget.

I'm actually going to see Journey on tour next yr in the uk..Although i voted SP as my prefered frontman for Journey i'm looking foward to seeing JSS. I went to see Journey at the Apollo Manchester this yr while they was over here and SA was good, although we couldn't see them to clear as we was right at the back.. This year we have front row seats at the NIA Birmingham so it should be a great treat. I'm even taking my 14 yr old daughter with me this year as she is just Journey mad (Thanks to my hubbie) Lol
As he is a JourneyFan through and through.. So all i can say is bring it on JSS :D
