I just listened to IOFTMG from USA for Africa - and then from the re-master.

IMHO, I think Steve spliced AND SANG A NEW VERSE for the re-release.

Sure:

In the remastered song, there is an extra-verse that was not there on the original cut....Steve arranged it to be different after the Sax solo. You can definitely hear the difference.
