Comparing Augeri and JSS....

Steve Augeri, IMHO sounded "Journey-esque"...interpret that in any manner you wish. I never felt he sounded nor looked anything like Perry, again, MHO.

I am also a fan of JDoubleS...the man can definitely rock.

Unfortunately, the comparisons will never end no matter who the lead singer is.

Journey On and peace to all. 8)

Ya think so? I am fabricating an all out, top notch, hard core abuse post directed at the Loons. I know Andrew is leaving to come here in a few days, and he can't moderate from 37,000 feet, so I outsmarted that backwoods country fuck  I plan on posting this masterpiece as soon as the Quantas 747 takes off.

It is the MOAP. Mother of all Posts.

You are a funny dude! Nobody offends and amuses at the same time as much as you do. After reading the sanitized, mary poppins bullshit on BT for the past 6 years, I had no idea a message board about my favorite band could be so entertaining!

Why wasn't Augeri a "tribute", YoungJRNYfan?

For me, it really depends on what you believe by your definition of a "TRIBUTE BAND" You could also say that about Perry as a tribute, as he replaced Robert Fleischman. Although Fleischman was the original,

Ahem,YoungJRNYfan, you better re-read your Journey history. Gregg Rolie was their first lead singer. :D

You're right, Rolie was the FIRST lead singer. But as a BAND, Fleischman should really take part in making Journey's hits. When I say original, I mean Journey's TAKE OFF. Wheel in the sky was not one of Perry's hits for the band, Fleischman actualy was apart of that, passing the torch to Perry for that matter. Perry just took and ran with it, and the rest is history. haha.

Have you heard any boots with Fleischman singing? If you had heard those, you might come to the conclusion that Fleischman might of not been the right singer for the band. :D

hate to do this but the same could be said for the JSS boots

haha, wow this is horribly blown out of text here. I'm nothing but a Journey fan, just like their music all together. I think it's just fun debating the absense of their lead singer. When it comes to this, its just not fun anymore haha. Theres nothing I can really say to state an opinion anyway. Why's Jeff posting here anyway? Shouldn't he be focusing on getting better at the vocals. And oh yah, work on your high notes, or better yet, don't go for it, because it sounds horrible. Use your talents and don't sing the Classical Journey songs, because it sounds like shit

ohwell

What will you guys do if he does come back though? Will you really commit suicide? I think you will. I'm in a win win because as long as Neal Schon is around there will be a Journey. But, if Soto doesn't get the gig, good bye board

Quite honestly why would you have any reason to doubt that its Jeff, dont you think that with Andrews ties to the band that he would know if it wasnt JSS?? The fact is, your a fool for Augeri, and no matter what happens, no matter how good JSS sounds, even if JSS suddenly develops the voice of fucking Perry himself, your still going to cause trouble.

Why do I post? Cuz I can, same as you. It's fun interacting, just like you are.

Not right for Journey, sure you have your opinion on this but bottom line they brought me in to do this, not you....does that make them wrong for having me? I think they have an idea on what's right for them, no?

Deen singing...um, there was a reason he started singing in the 1st place, fell into a routine of actually enjoying doing it as did the fans, now it is a staple of Journey shows, if he were to stop now, others would be crying foul. Try the few shows where DC was down & out & I had to sing the entire set...not a problem dude/dudette, it's only an 80 minute show, my solo shows are 2 hours 15 minutes, check out the Queen DVD I did where I sang 40+ songs.

Anymore debates? I'm down :)

Hey listen, one who doesn't have facts to back his ass, Deen started singing while Augeri was in the band, dipshit. Deen was taking over what Augeri couldn't handle anymore. Get your facts straight. At least Jeff knows what he can and can't handle, and Deen singing those songs were in the set long before Jeff came in, so they left it that way...............

Good god...........

Because the guy is a standup guy who DOES care.

Don't get me wrong Jeff, you're talented which I said many many times, just not for Journey.

Don't answer Jeff, let me handle this ass clown. Dude, go suck off Augeri, lord knows he has lots and lots of time now.

And if people are pissed at Augeri for using tapes, then shouldn't they be pissed at Neal, and Cain too, since they run this joint.

That has some merit, but Neal and Jon weren't the weak links. Thus they get a pass.

Not one time in the 2001 DVD you see Castranova sing a note? No, because Jeff can't handle some songs, DuRRrrr

You aren't too bright are you? Do you know that on the 2001 DVD, Augeri wasn't live either. He had no usable live sound to use. His songs were all re done in studio.

You can go now, asswipe.

We're queer? You are the one banking Augeris future on the "Official Statement." THAT is queer.

My point is, it's not even Jeff anyway,

Um, yes it is. Ask the Board moderator.

and if it is, why would he waste his time to think and post to what I have to think anyway?

Because the guy is a standup guy who DOES care.

I'm down :)

When are you guys going to have that for sale! I've been trying to find it for months. Was the Queen Medley on youtube from that? just awesome

LMBO!! That's the first time that I've ever gotten really angy in a forum.

JSS could flick me like a fly, from the looks of it. He sure doesn't need me to beat anyone up for him.

sorry for the threat of violence, youngjrnywhatever.
but you really are being a major prick.
