Haven't heard of them.

CPC you should check them out. You won't regret it! They opened up for Third Day for awhile. Great cd.

Is the name of the band overflow?

I'm not usually into christion rock, but I like some of Jars of Clay and Switchfoot. And Chris Daughtry's CR band was pretty good.

Yes, here is link to their webpage that has clips. Great tunes. Keep in mind I'm a fan of Journey,Foreigner, Speedwagon, all that BIG early 80's stuff, as well as Third Day, Casting Crowns, MercyMe.

L8r,

Isn't Van Halen's "Unchained" in drop-D?

I agree on the "primal scream" vocals, I think. Is this the "cookie monster" type vocals that you're talking about? If so, that crap is terrible.

Dude,

I think you're right about Unchained being drop D. Eddie always tunes his guitar down a half step so they are always a little goofy. Statement one was a bit over the top, I like some Creed, Ozzy and others in "Devil Tune". But as a general rule, it gives me a negative vibe that I don't like.

Yep, its the "Cookie Monster" crap that I can't stand. For some reason, it just puts me on edge immediately. I listen to music so I can chill, not get ready to fight.

L8r dude,

Aaron

The drop-D tuning in "Unchained" gives a different feel from most of the songs you hear with that tuning. The "chugga-chugga" part is the bottom or 6th string and I think is a great example of how drop-D tuning can be used to full effect.
