The thing I just don't get is he is drinking again. He has talked at length previously about how much of an ass he was when he was drinking before he quit. The guy is playing with fire.

Thanks Matt, I have heard of the name Michael Schenker before, but I always thought it was one of the guys in the Scorpions.

Yes - Michael Schenker was in the Scorpions in the early 70s and on the "Lovedrive" album in 1979. But you're probably thinking of his brother Rudi Schenker who has been an ever-present member of the band.

I know...it's really sad....but at least Ace and EVH enjoyed spectacular success in their careers (Ace for a much shorter time I guess). Schenker never got the success his talent deserved...mainly because he sabotaged his career at all the worst moments. UFO were just on the verge of cracking America in 1978...and he decided to walk away...and a similar thing happened with MSG too. Such a shame because Schenker was one of the all-time greats...whose style was actually quite similar to Schon's, don't you think?

Well, it could be/should be but I think everyone here has done what they can to lure him back out. So, until you can convince him to stop pouting and come back out and play, we might as well move on and focus on who IS here. When he comes back, we will accept him with open arms (pun intended) and act like nothing happened.
