Deano - what's your estimated time of arrival on the 9th? I may be able to give you a lift, just depends on my work schedule that day. Let me know and put me down as tentative for transportation until I can confirm....

Sorry, I can't help you guys out with a ride if you're flying into JFK, but you can catch the AirTrain right from there, take it to the Jamaica Station & take the LIRR into Penn Station & pick up Amtrak there.

http://www.panynj.gov/airtrain/fromjfk_midtownman.html

If you're flying into MacArthur, depending on the time, I may be able to pick you guys up and get you to the LIRR to get to Penn.

Eh? Why don't you just take Southwest into Baltimore?

Don't fly into New York - you'd have to train or taxicab it to Penn Station for Amtrak, and it's a pain in the ass.

The Amtrak regional is also eh here.

SO much easier to fly into Baltimore.

Also, if you fly into MacArthur, you can catch a connecting flight to Baltimore - it's only $29 one way on Southwest, and only takes an hour.

Naw, a reporter. Baltimore and DC are two of my major markets, so I'm in and out of NY a lot.

Check Washington Dulles as an option. Only 15 mins from me. I could pick you up on my way north.

Thanks Amanda,

When you are getting basically free airline tix, you cannot be choosy about where you fly. I flew to BWI last month and it was easy. However, I have a new best friend in Journeyjestor, and he works for#$%^$#@ Airways.......He might have to route us through NY or PHL. I work for Amtrak so I fugured we can ride high speed train to Baltimore, rather than a slow, toll booth ridden drive, if need be.

Granny, how the Hell would you come from PHL when you are south of DC?

US Airways can get me to B more via Charlotte. Hell, I just may drive up the coast with you and the old man from there. PM me your phone number. Have to start making decisions, as the date is getting closer. What kind of car you have? I am 6'3" hell Granny, lets ride up in the Silver Meteor or Silver Star, and party and get sleepers....do it in style. No, I won't sleep with you, but you can blow me in the shitter if you still want to.

Whoops, spoke too soon and life, of course, intervenes.
