Yes.

Name ONE iota of doubt, Monker. Just one. I'll wait.

First of all, all I have read is the same old propaganda BS that has always been said. It is exagerated out of proportion with a sense of fantasy and not based on reality.

I doubt Journey will ever have a 'hit' album again. I doubt Journey will ever have a 'hit' single (on pop charts...not lame AC, or whatever chart). I doubt Journey will ever be able to tour these size of venues on their own ever again. I doubt Journey will ever equal the "success" of Arrival, let alone make some kinda huge comeback. I doubt the band that exists today will exist as they are now five years from now. I doubt they will take enough time away from touring to make an album worthy of the Journey catalog.

I have many doubts about this band and their future - MANY.

They just did last year....what the hell. They sold out DTE near Detroit last year on their own, and thats a 18,000 seater. and that was only a week or so after selling 18,000 tickets at muskegon, and a month before selling 16,000 tickets in lansing, and all of these venues are within a 200 miles from the nearest to the farthest, with one in the middle. The sell tons of tickets on their own.....Of course they may never have a hit single or album again, but thats ok, because that would mean they had sold out. I do, however, think that they will have success in this current itteration of the band.

A terrible "joke" if so. You can have opinions, but Arrival's success was nothing to sneeze at... especially when compared to Journey's first three albums... you can't call yourself a Journey fan if you only selectively appreciate what each era produced.

Then again, maybe you're not a Journey fan. Just another Perry diehard on the JSS bandwagon.

Hi Cyndy.. Welcome aboard! You may want to thicken the skin a little. Around here, insults are as regular as the JFK airport arrival/departure times during the busy holiday season.

That phrase is the one that makes me laugh the most. Who are you to tell anybody they can't call themselves a Journey fan.........anybody can call themselves one if they enjoy the music. And is that how you see the new fans.........Perry diehards jumping on the JSS bandwagon? Sorry to burst your bubble, but some just might like what they are seeing and hearing now.......just might be that simple.

Yeah, it's a bandwagon. There was honestly NO reason Perry diehards couldn't have accepted Augeri. The excuses for loving JSS instead are full of holes.

And NO you can't say you're a real Journey fan if you only like them for what they did with Perry and/or Jeff. That's being a Perry and/or Jeff fan.

Strungout--this is getting stooppiidd! of course we are REAL Journey fans. this person is just being a jackass- We don't have to like every single song or album or singer. There are a few on Generation that I like even tho' I wasn't a real fan of Augeri. He did 2 that were really decent and enjoyable to listen to. I still prefer Perry to any lead singer of Journey, but still go to their concerts. Gran

Didn't say you have to like it - just recognize it. Your potshot at Arrival was pretty low and it's one of those things that pushes my personal buttons.

Yeah, there are reasons why Perry diehards couldn't accept Augeri. One, Augeri isn't a powerhouse vocalist, and two, Augeri tried to sound like Perry, which didn't go over too well with some Perry diehards, me included. Shit, I gave Augeri a chance, I even have all the cd's, audio boots, and one video boot, and after many months, I still couldn't get into this voice.

The Perry diehards who are accepting JSS now are doing so because JSS doesn't sound like Perry, nor does he try to imitate him either. JSS is his own singer, can stand on his own, and the band is looking like they are having a time of their lives with JSS fronting. Hell, even Jon was mentioned in the MR article that he has been smiling more and pumping his hand in the air. What the fuck does that tell you?

You wish that the, ahem, "excuses" for Perry diehards accepting JSS is full of holes. You are trying to shoot holes in them, which you will not be able to do.

I think you should get the blinders off.............

You don't have to LIKE it all, that is not what I'm saying... I used to word "appreciate" if you'll go back and read. Appreciate as in recognize. Respect.

Simply ignoring everything the BAND did between 1998 and 2005 takes away from being a Journey fan.

I do own Arrival, Generations and the 2001 dvd, so I guess I recognize that era. This REAL Journey fan just doesn't prefer it though.

Cool, good for you. Cyndy's low-blow potshot at Arrival is what pissed me off... I don't know YOUR stance on the album or your status as a Journey fan, but as long as you don't make stupid "jokes" like that, we'll be fine.

He does, but not to the degree Augeri did. Besides JSS just adds the 'sexyback'......to take a quote from Justin Timberlake.
