You know what? Its actually pretty good! Sure its a lousy boot, but if you listen past the distractions, they sound pretty damn good, and Jeff does that song right. Thanks Classy! 8)

That said, unless he brings a new sound to Journey, (like Sammy Hagar did with VH), I don't see this working.............not trying to be negative, just realistic.

No argument with your point at all - I think you will get just that in the future.

However - when singing the Journey classics, they absolutely have to be sung in that familiar classic style!

Hi all, im new to this forum, even though ive been reading posts on here for a while, I decided to wise up and get an account so I can take part in the community. Let me just say this, (even though I may draw a little flak for this) I was a fan of Perry, was a big fan of Augeri, but damn JSS just friggin owns!! He is awesome in this boot, I wasnt sure at first, but after hearing this im pumped to see them when they roll into NH. I saw them once with Augeri, but I already know this will kick far more ass. Jeff is the best thing thats happened to this band in a damn long time!

WOW.....WOW.....WOW That was great JSS voice sounded great has that sound of the older Perry. Perry was about the same age as JSS is when ROR was recorded right about 20 years ago Perry was about 37 and JSS said he was 38. I bet JSS would sound great on some more ROR or some TBF...One More !!!

Thanks for reposting Clasic Rock Lady !!!!!

Ive been wishing I could hear JSS sing 'One More" for a while now, his voice would fit the song perfectly....They should do it in concert, now that would blow Leps fans away.

One of my all time favorite Journey songs. Last time they i saw them do thia was in 98 in Washington, DC. JSS hits it right on and Ross is really getting funky on the bass line!
Thanks so much for posting. This is a band on FIRE!!

Now the person who recorded this got most of the show. He had to cut out about 4 songs due to the fact that it was raining at the Bowl, and it messed with his recording equipment.

Enjoy ! 8)

It wont take me to the downloading link, just to their homepage---So I must have to register to their site??

Thanks for the answer..

I'm with you Moose. What's the big deal? The guy that sang it here on the board (was that John?- sorry, I forgot) did it better than this performance. Having said that- Edge, Chain, and Runnin sounded really good. IBAWY is pretty sloppy for Journey. For it to be J O U R N E Y the stuff better be tighter than a gnat's ass and the vocals need to be SPOT ON. These vocals are not and the band sounds sloppy in a lot of places. Having said that, this show is the best I've heard JSS with Journey. His voice is more consistant here than it has been. It's getting better and I'm glad that he's got a tour to work the kinks out. I think that he'll be alright, but this song in particular isn't the highlight of the show.

I prefer The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl! ;)

I suppose the only way to really get a read on JSS's performance is to see it live. I can't wait! :o

Wow...thanks, brywool. I humbly assume you were talking about me although I would have to disagree.

JSS kicked much ass on this and I'm absolutely disappointed I didn't get to enjoy this one back in July. My all-time fave Journey song...probably one of my fave songs by anyone...ever. JSS did it justice but Perry's voice is what makes this song.

Actually, although yours is good, I was talking about the guy that posted his on Acid Planet. I THINK it was Johnthedrummer. He did a few Journey songs and his ABAWY was great. No offense sonny!
