Lori

Perry said "What the fuck are you looking at?" to Stu (RossValoryRocks) when he was only 11 or 12 years old and waiting for an autograph from him. Does that count?

NOPE it doesn't count! I don't know Stu(RVR), But JSS put it out here in writing for ALL to view. I don't see that as a smart move in the music business.

Lori

I know Stu and have met him. He actually knows Ross and works with him occasionally on some computer issues. Anyway, it certainly DOES count. Perry cussed out a little kid just because he was looking at him and had the audacity to be waiting for an autograph. Stu said he was crushed. Journey was his all time favorite band and one of his idols totally trashed him.

..................................

That's total hearsay and anybody can tell their version of something like that. I heard that the kid stabbed Perry in the leg with his pencil to get his attention and kept pointing at him while blubbering for attention. Makes a good story, no matter how it's told by word of mouth. Why didn't lil Stu's daddy punch Perry out?

Hey lemmie tell you about the time that Perry and I were stranded in an elevator or about the ten lb. minnow I landed last week.

It's not hearsay. It came straight from the horse's mouth and was told on this very forum not more than a few weeks ago.

Why didn't lil Stu's daddy punch Perry out?

Your belittling of Stu and his dad is just sick. Stu's dad was more of a man that day than Perry ever was.

Here's the direct quote from Stu... http://forums.melodicrock.com/phpBB/vie ... ck#3724826

RossValoryRocks wrote:Here goes:

The year: 1980

The Date: May 10th.

Location: Pittsburgh Civic Arena.

Opening Band: The Baby's (with TA DA Jon Cain on keys)

I wasn't quite 11 yet...but...I had a favorite band: Journey!

My dad being aware of the fact that I was a huge Journey fan, and being one of the big wigs in the Pittsburgh PR scene go on the phone with the promoters and arranged to get 2 tickets as well as after show passes.

After the show is over, my father goes where the directions say to go to meet the guys. I am walking on air...my favorite band it the world just delivered a phenomenal concert...and I am gonna meet them.

I get back stage, after a brief wait, the guys start coming in. I get the chance to talk with Neal who is very nice to a little kid obviously awestruck. I talk with Gregg, also very nice. I talk with Smitty who tells me I should be a drummer because they are the heartbeat of the band. Ross spends a LONG time talking with me, asking me questions about Journey and why I like them. During my conversation with Ross, Perry walks in.

He is standing there, speaking with someone he obviously knows, I walk over but keep a respectful distance, holding my Official Departure Tour program, waiting to get the chance to speak to him and have it signed. My heart was going about 1000 miles per hour.

After 5 minutes Perry looks down and says in a nasty voice, "What the fuck do you want?"

I couldn't even speak. I was crushed.

My father who was standing there watching me, storms over, looks Perry in the eye for a long second. Perry just smirks. My dad grabs my arms and walks me out, in tears. Journey almost needed a new lead singer that day not 18 years later.

Any affection I felt for Perry died then and there.

Love the music, hate the man.

I know it isn't the most Christian thing to say, but I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire.

What happens to a 10 year old (good or bad) tends to stay with him or her for the rest of their lives.

Perry should have known that, even back then, obviously the other guys did.

I'm not saying Perry is a bad person. He could've just been having a bad day but you just don't do that to a kid...EVER.

Are those anything like the stomach-churning chronicles of you, Perry and the Sandalwood soap?
If so, I'll pass.

I don't go on Foreigner boards to trash him or praise Lou Gramm.

One thing I'll give her is she's got some thick skin so being called a dickhead by JDouble would not piss her off. The outrage is feigned only.

Let us not forget that JSS did preface his statement with

But we can also remember that Neal was villified for his "Get a life" comment for YEARS!

Damn, Joe baby! You know that I always post it as I see it, even with Andrew. Sorry, never for effect. I never sit on the fence with my observations and have the courage for my convictions. You can depend on my admitting when I feel that I'm wrong. Ask Monker or Fred. They will tell you that I'm never wrong, lol.

It doesn't take courage for anyone to stand for their convictions on this forum. That's abundantly clear.

Well, you're forgetting three things.......

1) They ALL have selective memories...

2) Lori/Properry has the attention span of a gnat.

3) If this had happened to their BoyToy Perry, it would be written in stone as the Truth.

Oh FFS, they (Perry and JSS) are both just human, both entitled to have good and bad days and get pissed off at the same things we do......it's just all witnessed by alot more people. HOTS you knew damn well what you posted would get a reaction out of JSS, so don't pretend to be offended cuz you got one. I can see HOTS point on what happened to Stu though....she doesn't know Stu so doesn't know for 100% fact it happened. Don't get me wrong, I have no reason to believe it didn't happen and that he was totally crushed.....I would be too. I'm just saying this is the internet and a fan can say anything.....hell, I could tell you why you don't see my hands and why Perry's smiling in my avatar, does that make it so, not necessarily.....................well, maybe.

....and damn TNC, calling a woman a c*** is the worst, baby......even you're not that low.

If I walked up to a journalist & blatantly told him 'I think your magazine articles suck, you really have a bad way of coming across with your words & stories, why not try another profession?', I would expect a finger, a few suggestive words or otherwise not a 'oh, sorry you don't like what I do, I'll try harder sir, do have a nice day!'. Think about what you write that sparks one to use words the way one does....even go back & look at the nature of how it might have been suggested or worded, it might help you understand human nature a little more.

Regarding 'professional nature', am I supposed to all of a sudden be the poster child for Disneyland? No...never, I am who I am, I treat everyone with respect that earns it & I expect the same in return, I care not about having my ass kissed by ANYONE, I worked hard to be a successful singer here in my own country & now I am getting my due with a band I truly admire & respect...this is not just a job for me here, this is beyond a fantasy I had when I was 14, singing & playing these songs in my garage with my brother in many a band.

I take this ABSOLUTELY seriously so yes, my guard is up for not just me but the band I was asked to come do a job for...excuse me for being abrasive at times but this is my passion & if someone fucks with it, I bite back, end of story, I make no apologies for my actions, I take all responsibilities for my reactions. Continue to enjoy life all, I'll say it over & over, I certainly am :) Cheers!
