What's Your All Time Favourite Journey Song

Postby Dyzzi » Thu Oct 19, 2006 11:20 pm

Hey I think this may have already been posted here at some stage but i'm sort of a newbie and i would like to get to know you all abit more.

So come on what's your all time favourite Journey song, whoever the frontman is or was ??????

I would have to say mine is Open Arms(Steve Perry) which was played at my wedding for our first dance. Then i would have to say When You Love A Woman..

Only The Young

For me this was Perry's finest recording as a vocalist...and no-one has come close to matching the performance on this song.

Wow this surprized me...there may be hope for you
yet Froy.

I can't pick just one but Easy To Fall is a definite fave.
also Precious Time, Troubled Child, Little Girl and
Edge Of The Blade could all at any given time be
my said fave.
Sorry that I just can't nail it down to one.

Any Way You Want It... This song screams "Journey" with that A Capela opening.

Plus, it was the first Journey song I ever heard. I was hooked immediately.

I don't like it live, though - I like the tempo of the studio version.

I could NEVER ever pick just one song. What I like depends on the day of the week anyway!

Here's my top 23 (or 25 depending how u count) in no particular order & I can't nail it down any further:

People & Places
Precious Time
Walks Like A Lady
Lights
Patiently/Anytime
Feelin' That Way
Homemade Love
Stone In Love
Escape
Only Solutions
Liberty
Someday Soon
Troubled Child
Little Girl
Edge of the Blade
Good Morning Girl/Stay Awhile
Patiently
Wheel In The Sky
Mother Father
Happy To Give
After The Fall
Why Can't This Night Go On Forever
A Better Life

Yes I know only 1 from the post-Perry era. Um can I add in Believe In Me by Jeff & Neal? It's almost Journey.

Since '83 (most of you know this by now ) I've been going back and forth between Escape and Edge Of The Blade. I think it's stuck on Edge for now...but that'll always be a toss-up unless the new album just comes out swingin'. <hint hint>
