Easy to Fall for the same reasons Froy likes it. The words and melody expose gut level human emotional struggle.

My absolute favorite Steve Perry song is "Anyway". Does anyone know the story behind that song? I've read it was a message from him to the band -- is that true??? I'm still learning my Journey/SP history, so any info would be great.

I know, you asked for fave Journey song, but this one seems to be about Journey, so I thought it'd be OK.

It has to be Don't Stop Believin' or Separate Ways for the fast songs. Faithfully or When You Love a Woman for the ballads.

I love the verse...less keen on the chorus...but the last minute and a half (with Perry's repetition of "words unspoken", Neal's mellow solo and the violins) kills me...brilliant.

By the way...am I the only person in the world who thinks that "It's Just the Rain" and "Trial By Fire" are true Journey classics?

Fav Pre-Perry's Of A Lifetime (sort of a masterpiece in its own right).
Fav Perry I think is La Raza Del Sol (weird to hear it on the new ESC4P3 w/ out Neal's Spanish solo before the elecric), maybe Liberty, maybe It Could Have Been You (Perry/Schon tour-de-force).
Gun to my head it's La Raza. I do appreciate people's affection for When I Think Of You...it's Perry's tribute to his mom and I can't hate on that.
"I love almost everybody."---Rocky Balboa 1990
"Let's reform this thing.Let's go out and get some guys who want to work and go do it"--Neal Schon February, 2001
"I looked at Neal, and I just saw a guy who really wants his band back"-JCain 2/01
