I like Neal's explanation in the 2nd one for Ross and Steve not being there. Steve can't groove? Ha.

There are some here that think it is OK just to make up stories about people with NO PROOF to back it up

No proof just look at the video thats proof enough
Go read some Herbie interviews he says the same thing even worse
Its no big deal
Most everyone has doen drugs in some form in there lives

1. A guy with a glass of wine in his hand on a stupid YouTube video doesn't equal an alcoholic. It if did, we would all be alcoholics.

2. Even if he did have a problem...it's not exactly fresh news. Anyone with 2 eyes can see the glaring differences between early 80s Steve and ROR Steve.

3. So what. The guy had shit going on, who doesn't. Outing him on the internet, whether you're repeating what Herbie said or reporting what someone told you, is b.s. As a matter of fact, telling everyone on a message board about it even if you saw it with your own damn eyes is b.s. too.

4. It's no one's business but SP's anyway so drop it. "Anonymous" indeed.

We probably are all alcoholics to be honest with ya
My entire family has the disease
I was when I was young 20 years ago but happy to say
I now only do yoga as my drug of choice.

Yea we can see he was a full blown alchololic.

No its not and its not outing anyone
Its not like we said he killed someone.
Just look at the damm tabloids there outing people every day.

As a matter of fact, telling everyone on a message board about it even if you saw it with your own damn eyes is b.s. too.

Its a fact and that makes it ok
If It was made up BS then there would be a problem.
Most did not even know why Perry walked after ROR now they do.

Well, if everyone is so stupid and you're so superior, what you even doing here?

Actually, what is stupid is bringing up all that AA business just to stir up shit.

Whether he did or did not use drugs or go to AA is not revelevant to anything anyone was talking about before you brought that up.
In one of your backlashes a few posts back you said "I would not have said anything you guys asked remember" when in fact, no one asked you a damn thing until after you brought up the AA stuff.

Stuff happens and people go through bad things. If that happened to him then big surprise, the guy is human.

Thats not afrin he was talking about.

As far as AA I have had friends in the AA program in the Studio City area see Steve at meetings.
Big deal he is in AA so what

Outing Perry like that.........NOT cool at all! If Perry wanted the general public to know that, he'd have announced it himself. :x

Go yell at Herbie he outed him long before I did,

Actually NO, Herbie has never said anything about the AA.

By the way, thanks for posting these Tree.........laugh every time I've watched that third part. F*ckin' Neal LOL.........when Steve says that part about "the lawyers can bite the dog"......Neal laughs and says "Ya, we just had the dog"..........that was filmed in a Japanese restaurant. LMAO, probably not the coolest thing to say in a Japanese restaurant.

that interview was filmed at the Hard Rock in San Francisco at the listening party for Raised on Radio.

but leave it to Neal to say something like that anyway. he also made fun of the girl in the Separate Ways video saying she looked like one of those "Pekingese dogs that hit the wall."

Even though I don't like talking about the subject of Steve's substance abuse problems, I'm realistic enough to know he had them. I think he's conquered them, whatever they were and that's a lot more than can be said of a lot of his peers. He doesn't talk about his personal life much in interviews and such, but if you listen to the lyrics of some of the songs on FTLOSM and TBF he's telling the story. I think we should respect him for getting a handle on it and taking his life back.

Look at the thread again someone said they sure looked Drunk and thats when I said yes in fact Steve is in AA to this day
You make it sound like he is exempt from critisism.
Being and alcoholic is not a secret it happens to allot of people
I would bet Perry is proud that he has been sober for 20 years
As far as the coke issue thats what rock stars did in the 80s
Look at Steven Tyler and all the rest of them
It was pretty much handed to those guys to keep them going
Even the truck drivers were coke heads belive me I know a few of them.

Yes I know that someone said they looked drunk.
That did not mean it was a cue to to volunteer a whole bunch of information about Steve being in AA especially when you can't even prove it.

You could have just said "yeah they sure sure do" and the thread would have moved on.

And no, I was in no way suggesting he is exempt from criticism. But why should he be criticized for it?
Just because it happens to a lot of people and it's "not a secret" doesn't mean it was ok to bring up regarding Perry. It's nothing he's ever come out with, therefore it is speculation.

And by the way, you didn't just "criticize", you called him a full-blown alcoholic.

Yes I'm sure you're right when you say you "bet Perry would be proud" of being sober for 20 years, but he obviously a quiet kind of proud because he's never come out of that AA room (if in fact he was ever in one, and I'm not disputing that argument either) and said a word about it in public has he?

Proud or otherwise, that would be for him to say, and not anyone else, least of all a bunch people on a message board.

Look I have been on this board for years
I don't just make up things ok
I know allot of people and one of them just happened to have been at a meeting with Steve
If you think Im lying I don;t know what to say but most know me as a straight shooter here.

And by the way, you didn't just "criticize", you called him a full-blown alcoholic.

When you are in AA you are full blown
No way around that

I think he has sent some messages about it in his linear notes of his cds
