RECOVERY

Postby Wheels Of Fyre » Sat Oct 21, 2006 10:27 pm

"We all wish Steve a speedy recovery."

I can't think of a more fitting title for the next album/tour. Whether it's welcoming SA's return or perhaps a tribute to him with JSS on the mic.

If this is the case, SA needs to come back to do a "recovery" album for Perry's hip first.

No way Journey is not recovering from a sickness just the singer is so I don't think this would be appropriate. But I do wish Steve the best and hope he is well soon!

LOL!

I think Recovery is a hilarious title.
And I can say that in a good natured humorous way because I know they'd never do it, so don't freak out guys. 8)

I do not wish illness on anyone, for any reason. I hope the best for Steve Augeri with regard to his personal health. That does not include a return to his role with Journey. So please, let any future album's names be far removed from this recent craziness

He's recovering from a chronic vocal problem. JOURNEY's recovering from losing the guy who helped keep them going since 1998.

Did I REALLY have to spell that out?

What's YOUR point?

So go ahead and sue JOURNEY if you feel so "traumatized".

Do it. I want to see how quickly your law suit gets thrown out.

Milli Vanilli? That's not even a comparison and your trying to compare JOURNEY with them shows your lack of knowledge regarding MV.

MV was built specifically to market two pretty boys because the thinking was that they'd make a lot of money. This is absolutely NOTHING like what JOURNEY's been accused of doing.

My point is the "chronic throat problem" is a chronic Bullshit line. Management has done a pretty good job with this. I know many say they have dropped the ball, but other than us and the Hippos at the Zoo, no one really knows what really happened, and Mgt knows this. They are almost out of the woods so to speak.

Fyre, you do know there is no chronic throat problem right? It is more of a "can't sing anylonger problem," but hey, I am moving on. Just watching you, Rich I didn't kill my parrots and uncle Meyers, Rusty, and the 'Hippos wait with baited breath for an "official statement" is both embarassing and laughable. I already told you what as going to happen.

LOL
I'm not traumatized one single bit...
They were on there own when SP left.
I saw them once for free courtesy of a radio station
It was in 99 or 200o and it was enjoyable
once you get over the trauma of a trip to San Bernadino in 100 deg heat!

The trauma I speak of is not for myself
but for those who had to pay and listen to him lip sync!

I don;t think the Milli Vanilli analogy is that askew...

I wish SA the best on his Recovery.
His voice paid the price for reaching beyond it;s natural limits.
He had the glory of nights in the spotlight
Led the band on there Journey til his pipes blew a gasket and
they limped along until they found another vehicle to take them...

So Sa is in the shop now
Getting an overhaul...

So now you're speaking for all of the poor souls who were traumatized? Since you care so much about them why not do something to really help them? Instead of just speaking for them why not champion a law suit that will raise them out of their funk by strangling JOURNEY for a couple million?

If such a crime was committed and if people have been so horribly traumatized then shouldn't JOURNEY be sued?

Water under the bridge....
The river must flow
I shall not be the one to hold back the hands of time
Course of nature
You can let it take you down & die
Or you can raise above
Shall we sit & drown in a pity pool
or go foward and rebuild our lives?

Pretty boys is NOT my opinion. It's what happened in REALITY.

The people behind the "scam" purposely recruited two faces that they felt were marketable. Much like JOURNEY did regarding SP's pretty voice. They brought him in because they thought his pretty voice was marketable.

MV was about marketing and the things SA's been accused of is in no way analogous with MV.

Sure intent goes along way in assessing blame
but you have to admit the result was the same...
"The lips were moving and nothing was coming out"

As for others...why can't I feel for them?
Feelings may have nothing to do with legality
but that doesn;t mean we should be unsympathetic...

1. State your source that has told you that JOURNEY is lying about SA.
2. I'm not waiting with any kind of breath.
3. You've stated your opinion as to what you think will happen. No more "official" than anyone else's speculation UNLESS you can state your source.

Still no response to these. You've replied to several other topics since but not this one.

Recently you participated in a thread in which Rich Meyers was being cranked. Someone noted that Rich has a tendency to state things as if he's in the know because of his connections with George Tickner. It was further pressed that since he hasn't bought into what so many believe to be true: "SA dumped for JSS" that this is somehow evidence that he's not as much in the know as he presents himself to be. Do you NOT see the lunacy in that?

As far as I'm concerned - at this point in time - the ONLY people who know THE STORY is JOURNEY and their inner circle.

With all due respect I don't consider Rich to be in the know just because of his connections with a past member. He's not a paid employee of JOURNEY and is not part of their inner circle.

I apply the same to you. While I respect your opinions I don't hold them of any higher value than my own or anyone else's for that matter.

What matters to me RIGHT NOW is what JOURNEY reported. That SA is out with a chronic vocal problem and is seeking medical attention in order to recover and return.

Unlike so many I will NOT allow my own desires and/or personal agendas to cloud this reported FACT. Unlike so many I have no reason to believe that what JOURNEY has reported is a pack of lies.

Unless you can state a credible source that is connected with JOURNEY or their inner circle then I can't consider anything you proclaim to be anything but your opinion.

Entirely different scenarios.

JOURNEY didn't report that SP was out due to a hip problem and that he was undergoing care to see when he might return. Neither did they wish him a speedy recovery. Also, to my knowledge he wasn't seen at any JOURNEY concerts shortly afterward.

See the difference?

SP was FIRED/QUIT.

SA is out sick.

no reason to do a "RECOVERY" album for SP as he was OUT PERMANENTLY and there was absolutely NO DOUBT about it.
