Have vocals ever meshed so well together? Their contrasting voices totally complimented each other's........same with Just the Same Way, Anytime, and Someday Soon. I would love to see this song done by Jeff and Deen........or even a new song along these lines. :D

Thanks Deb, totally "cute!" Hey Larry, you want to go back to the 70's? take me with you and we will both rule the TG&Y on our banana bikes and we can trade hot rod stickers and spend Saturday mornings watching HR Puff-n-Stuff.

Forget it I want this song as the show opener
Greg Hits the keys and all of a sudden Perry is standing above Steve Smith on a riser and they go right into it
Forget Jeff and Dean I want the real deal,

That is Journey at their absolute best. I love their stuff off the first 4 CD's. Those layered vocals are friggin KILLER. Love it.

I love these songs. & who said they couldn't write till Cain came along? I dunno. They had some pretty amazing tunes penned long before he got there.

& dammit I LOVE watching Perry in this video.

Cain helped take the song writing to a totally new commercial level..never heard before, in prior Journey stuff! Its not that they couldn't write.. its just that Cain changed the focus, from writing what the band felt was natural...ie writing selfishly, for themselves, to opening up to what the public would reasonably like to hear!

NO! Album version of this all the way. Like AWYWI, and Higher Place, there's just SOMETHING missing from the live Captured version of this and Anytime.

red,, ill tell you what happened,, i had heard journey in the 70's ,, certain songs,,, but 1981 i was converted,, so then i go back and listen to say "wheel..." and it just sounded too slow... on the record,, i had gotten the live songs first. they were edgier and faster.. im tainted for life

I'm not a big Wheel live guy either.
Always missing the acoustic intro.
